To those that asked I'd have no legal basis to take any action against my employers; theres no requirement for them to pay for the course at all and the reason they cited is that resources are stretched as they are opening another office. They just realised I think because I'm so massive already, the weight loss has mostly come off my face and the bump is just obvious.

Phoenix I wish you the best of luck for the scan, can they not get you in for an earlier one in the circumstances.

Thank you. Monday is fine, it works better as our daughter will be at her childminder so I don't need to find someone to look after her and it won't take long to get from work to the QMC. I think the most frustrating thing is that I was getting some old brown mucusy discharge when I wiped, on and off over the last week. And now it's just stopped, completely! It's like my body is mocking me. If I have miscarried then it would seem my body isn't going to let go easily...

    Good evening ladies,

Feeling rubbishy here today. Last night I slept from 10pm until 9am this morning but still woke up feeling exhausted. I ended up going back to bed at 10.15am until 12 to get some extra sleep. Now I still feel exhausted but not the type of tired to fall asleep but they type thats inside my body. Every movement is just such an effort. This is one of the few Sundays where I havent done a Sunday dinner, we had left over spag bol from the freezer instead (pasta cooked from dried not the freezer). It's all I could manage to do. xxx
  • VickyViks - that's how I felt Friday. Felt totally drained and couldn't do anything - good description, tired inside your body! Ive felt like it a few times this pregnancy, most of the time Im just normal tired.
Been a very long day today with the clocks going back - children just don't understand. Im putting mine to bed in a mo - enough enough!
Phoenix7 - hope all goes as well as it can tomorrow xx Will be thinking of you x
Mrs T_M - hope you are being good to yourself and that nothing has worsened. Fingers crossed your DH is spoiling you!

Just a happy update: Back from the doctor's office. External and internal exam found that cervix is closed tightly and everything seems to have sorted itself. Can't get a scan yet, because they won't be able to find it (it's tiny, I'm not), but the doctor did say that I could request an early scan due to this once I've had my appointment with the midwife.

I've developed a bit of nausea if I'm upright for more than about 10 minutes, and poor DH says that I could get world leaders to sign over their countries if I threatened to pass the wind that I have currently in the room with them! His words "beyond diabolical gas!" :rotfl:

    We are so relieved here!

Sophiasmum, our health centre is open 7 days a week, just usually no appointments on the weekend unless it's urgent. I actually like all of my doctors here! :)

I really need to wash my hair today, but I'm a bit scared of getting into the shower. Might try to hang my head over the side to wash it. I wish that my body would go ahead and let me have the wonderful 'pregnancy hair' that I've heard about instead of it remaining a horrid itchy mess. I've tried nearly every product available, plus a few prescriptions for it, and nothing has worked!

Oh, the gp also said that I have a possible case of thrush. I've never had it before, so I'm sitting here looking at the medicine going "that's supposed to go WHERE?!"

I definitely have nausea now. GP said that it was a good thing, but that if it got too bad to come in for something for it. I was finally able to eat some homemade fajita stuff last night. Very small bowl, and no heat to it (homemade seasoning), but very good for my first food for a few days that was solid and not toast!
