I told my Manager last time but not this time. No one knows except my partner, Mum and now best friend she rumbled me.

I had to tell my manager last week but I only did so as she's gone on holiday now, and then she's having to go into hospital for an operation when she gets back, so won't actually be back in work until the beginning of December. I didn't want to either keep it a secret from the rest of the team, or tell my friends in my old team and have it leak through the grapevine to my current team, if my manager didn't know, iykwim? Providing all is ok on Friday I shall no doubt be telling everyone so I just figured if I told her before she went on holiday then the pressure is off a bit and I can tell everyone else next Monday. Luckily (?) I just have a boring desk job so no particular issues there, lol0

Not quite the same thing, but I consider the desk I sat at when I was pregnant before, when I was in my old team, to be the 'pregnancy' desk. The girl who moved to it after I went on maternity leave fell pregnant not long after moving to it, she went on mat leave a few weeks after I came back to work :rotfl:0 -
I think often pregnancy comes in runs. No babies for years for people and then they come out of the wood work.
After my mmc I thought everyone was pregnant. And they were everywhere I looked. But now not so much.
I know it might be silly to some to say this but just being able to talk to like minded ladies about the early pregnancy stages has saved me from heartbreak as I don't know how I would have got through then and certainly now.
So thank you xxxxxxx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Giant hugs Samtoby!
Right now I'm in the, "ok, I've been trying so long to get here. Now that I'm here, what the *$&%* do I do?!" group! :rotfl:
I had to let out one of the darts mom put in my trousers before I moved over (she took up the waist with two darts to keep them from falling off of me!) already, and when I 'suck in' my fat, I can still definitely see a bump there now! That sounds horrid now that I've posted it, but who cares?! :rotfl:0 -
Some people show earlier than others - sometimes people post on the 12-24 week thread pictures of their bumps and I think oh my your 20 weeks etc and I am nearly the same size sometimes. My belly is massive but wondering if its all gas as when I had my scan last weekend the Sonographer said 'oh there is a lot of gas in here' lol xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I'm 6+2 and really want to go for a private early scan but OH doesn't want to, saying it's not worth it. I'm extremely paranoid about bad stuff happening!
I'm in that exact same position with my hubby. I wanted (and still want) a scan and he didn't (and still doesn't). I'm like you and just wanted to know everything is ok whereas he was adamant he didn't want one. Hubby is the type of person that won't think negatively (he thinks it's a bit of a jinx) so for him going for an early scan is like saying something could be wrong. Plus his argument is that it is only a snapshot and things can still go wrong afterwards. I can see where he is coming from but didn't really stop me from wanting one. Now I am 10+3 and I think I am so close to 12 weeks that I think it would be a waste of £99 for me to get a scan.
If you end up not getting one take comfort in the time does go relatively quickly (although if feels slow as anything at the time). xx0 -

Finally had my scan date through :T. It's the 11th November when I will be 13+1:eek: This is my fault though because I am on holiday during my 12th week and as they wont scan before 12 weeks I have to wait for my 13th week. So that is 2 weeks and 5 days and counting. Is it strange that I don't know if I am now feeling excited about the scan or not. While ever I don't have a scan everything is ok. Does that makes sense???0 -
Well just registered with my doctor, and she's booked me in to see the midwife for 5th November, at which point I'll be just over 8 weeks! At least I have something to look forward to now x0
-
VickyVics - Shame you have to wait until then but at least you know when now! Not long!
sunshine81- Yay on your date to look forward to!
Mrs_T_M- Hope you are getting on ok with your work today!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
