  • Morning all, isn't the weather awful! Hoping it stops raining so that me and the dog can have a wander around the park.

Having a pretty uneventful day today filled with housework. Was going to have a bit of a lie in and catch up on a bit of missed sleep (due to hubby's snoring last night) but unfortunately that didn't work out. It seems that my body has it's own body clock and come 7am it is not only awake but demanding breakfast!!

Becsxxx - I am still waiting for a scan date as well. I have a feeling it is going to come through the post whilst we are away next week so contemplating giving the hospital a ring to see if they will tell me when I'm booked in for.

Sunshine81 - I hope you get your UTI sorted. That can't be a nice feeling combined with pregnancy symptoms. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Mrshappy - Good luck with your scan. Hope everything goes well.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday xxx
  • It seems much longer than 4 days a go that I found out I was expecting! Guess that is what happens when something life changing happens!

Really not enjoying the early pregnancy symptoms! Have got cramps much worse than any period pain and the joys of constipation (TMI!). Have got a Dr calling me at some point today - no appointments left by the time I got through the the surgery this morning! - as I am not sure if this amount of pain is normal!

Am looking forward to this bit hopefully passing soon!

    I am between 4-6 weeks!

Will bob in later to reply to other stuff, but it seems I have a mild UTI. He said there was lots of protein in my urine and have been given a course of amoxicillin x

    6+0 today x
  • Hi all - I'm new here and am 5 + 2 so very exciting times! Apologies if this is TMI but I've just been to the loo and found some blood, not a lot but a few streaks of red blood. This is my first pregnancy and I'm slightly panicking now and not sure what to do?

If you are ever in doubt, call your GP. That's what they are there for! More than likely, it's nothing to worry about, but it is best to double check anyway.

Anyone else start getting heartburn from strange things? Today it was either the wholemeal bread, peanut butter, or yoghurt I had for lunch. I'm leaning towards the peanut butter. :(

Also, something I'm thinking about: even though we have '3' bedrooms, one is little more than a closet, while we use one for ourselves and the other is the guest bedroom. I'm thinking about just getting a pack and play from amazon (because of the gift card survey thingies) with a changing tray on it, and keeping the little tyke in our room for a while. Can't exactly re-decorate as we rent, and it would be much cheaper (not to mention way easier) to just do that.

chelseablue I don't have any symptoms either, and I'm roughly 11.5 weeks. I didn't with my first pregnancy either. I found it quite hard first time around to accept, especially when you see people say things like 'morning sickness is good, as it means the baby is growing' etc etc, which makes you question if everything is ok, but I can assure you that not everyone gets symptoms!
