Me secret - they'll only do an internal if they can't get a good view on the abdominal which at 7 weeks or more is likely to be ok.
I personally wouldn't buy anything until 12 weeks as I had bad news in my previous pregnancy. Although statistically that's unlikely.
Mary woo will it really make that much difference if your employers find out earlier rather than later? Legally you are allowed time off and if you want to keep it a secret before 12 weeks can't you just pretend to be going to a meeting?
Or do what you'd do with a normal dentist or drs appt and just go? It's not like you need to tell them you're seeing a midwife.
I mean people have babies all the time, why would your career be over if you're planning on returning after having the baby? Are you worried they would not promote/give you pay rises etc? I kept quiet about leaving a previous job for that reason for as long as possible.
I wonder if midwives in private hospitals have more varied appts?0 -
Nothing much to report today, just waiting for my 12 week scan on 15 November.
Seems such a long wait
Trousers feel so tight today, if only I could wear pyjamas to work!0 -
Booking in appointment went well yesterday. Spoke to the midwife about my disappearing symptoms and she said it was perfectly normal so that made me feel much better. Then roll onto today and I find I am totally exhausted. Having decided to do a bit of baking (first time since being pregnant) the smell of brownies and cookies is making me feel really sick. Not so much disappeared symptoms then.
Also had my first packet of crisps yesterday and now I can't get enough. Pretty much sitting on my hands in order to not go crazy with them. Esp ready salted, which funnily enough are usually one flavour I completely avoid! Wish I could crave some sort of healthy food...like carrot sticks!
Hwoolgar I was attending SW before I got pregnant and managed to reach target. Its def a good idea to keep attending whilst pregnant as you can still lose weight. There was a woman last year in my class that managed to lost 2.5 stone whilst pregnant! She didn't have to deprive herself, just eat plenty of the right kinds of food. Unfortunately when I told my consultant she said I would have to pay again as soon as I went out of my goal range, which I cant afford to do atm. So I will be watching what I eat away from class with the intention of rejoining when the baby is born. In the meantime I am going to try to use my HE's and syns for the foods I crave xx
Mysecretalias Hope everything goes well with your scan today xx0 -

VickyVics you have totally put my mind at ease with your comment about disappearing symptoms! Mine come and go, with days where I do not feel pregnant at all - and these days worry me! So thanks for that :j

becsxxx - Have you had the sickness or has it subsided? Glad your Midwife appointment went well.
Only had sickness twice so far - though have had plenty of nausea but not actual vomitting (sorry if TMI!). Feeling tired a lot though and am learning not to panic if I don't have symptoms for a day or so.
How are you coping back at work?.0 -

That made me laugh so much. I totally know what you mean. Not long until your scan Jen_1985_04 (think we are born in the same year lol)
Anyone else having some seriously bizarre dreams? Last time I had nightmares about odd things but this time they are just bizarre!
VickyVics- I had some ready salted crisps the other day and loved them!
Chelseablue - All my trousers are too tight - but don't want to buy any clothes yet. Wish I could wear legins.
AFM - ok day at work but now I am so tired. Might take a little nap......This week is already dragging and its only Tuesday. Work is so busy but there is only baby on my mind - don't they call that baby brain :rotfl:
