Just woke up from my 'nap'!
Now I want ice cream, but the freezer froze it too hard, so, now I'm having to wait. Grrr.
I'm also trying to watch RSPCA Animal Rescue. Who wants to bet that I'll be crying shortly over something on there?
I'm already researching how much of everything (especially cloth nappies) that I'll be needing, and the whole not being able to buy things yet is bugging me. I'm earning amazon gift cards from various 'earning' sites, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to earn enough to purchase everything for the baby (or find on freecycle or freegle) without paying anything 'out of pocket.' I love to plan and research, so this bit is fun for me!0 -
Mrs_T - I am curious what research you have for the cloth nappies? I am hoping to use these while indoors to do my bit for the environment but not sure I trust them enough whilst out and about (if you know what I mean).
I don't know anything about them - like how do you clean them etc?
Maybe I need to start researching as well0 -
I think I need a toilet downstairs. I'm going to be losing weight just from how many times per day I'm climbing the stairs (sometimes very quickly) to reach the toilet. It will be even worse if/when morning sickness kicks in too.0

Mrs_T_M / jen_1985_04 -my local council will provide free cloth nappies though the real nappy scheme. Maybe worth asking your local council?3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I really hope you don't get the sickness I've had but you find if you do, going upstairs to the loo either takes too long unless you runor you are sick so many times it's just easier to stay downstairs and puke in something else. I carry a measuring jug around the house with me :rotfl: if the sickness ever stops it's going in the bin cos I'm definitely never using it in the kitchen again! Lol!

I've discovered that our county council (Norwich) will refund £30 if you spend £45 on cloth nappies/wraps/liners, the baby is 0-24 months, and you fill out a form and send them the receipt. £15 for £45 worth of nappies? Yes please!
Is it sad that I signed up for the Aptamil/Aptaclub to get the little stuffed polar bear for myself?0 -

Hope you don't mind me posting we are currently ttc, but I saw questions on cloth.
The Nappy Lady is worth googling, also i know we all like to be MSE but don't buy lots of one brand as like disposals different nappies suit different babies.
Also some good fb group as such as CBM (cloth bum mums) who can offer advice and also selling pages. Watch out for bundles on freecycle etc
HTH a little :-)Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."Official DFW Nerd 1365

Hey everyone,
Long time lurker, but I have put myself under a new username as too many people know who I am on the old one and no-one knows am pg yet! Going to send our parents 'you're going to be a grandparent' gifts closer to Christmas!
In the last 24 hours we have done a cheap HomeB@rgains test, a cheap T£sco test and the definitive Clear Blue, that says 2-3 weeks since conception! We were NTNP only this cycle and with PCOS, weight issues, and periods all over the place we are happily shocked that it has happened so soon! (Also read the TTC boards for some time, know some of you have had a long journey)
Anyway since I last had a proper period on 26th August, but a weeks worth of spotting on 9th September and cycles this past year being anything from 20 to 52 days, we'll have to wait for some proper confirmation, but I reckon I'm about 5 weeks and due mid June! Will add myself to your list when I have some proper dates!
I'm 31, OH is 29 and this is our first, look forward to getting through these delicate first few weeks together, every twinge and symptom is freaking me out haha x0 -

An extra thing to look into: see if anywhere local has a nappy 'library.' We have one called the Norwich Nappuccino that let's you 'rent' cloth nappies for £12 per month (£40 refundable deposit) to try out different kinds and to see what kind(s) works best for you, and if re-usables are for you.0
