Just back from my reassurance scan today. I can honestly say it was the most amazing experience of my life to see our tiny little pip and it's beating heart. DH and I both had a good weep, it was actually very overwhelming to feel such a rush of love.

In terms of BabyBond itself, yes it is only separated from the rest of the Mothercare store by smoked glass partition walls (noone can see through), but when I was being scanned I can't say I noticed what was going on anywhere else at all and it certainly wasn't noisy. The equipment etc. was all new and it was well set out, with a huge screen directly in front of you to view the images on. The sonographer was delightful and spent time pointing out the heartbeat, limb buds, spine and checking measurements and that my ovaries etc were fine. We got more than 10 pictures to take home. Overall I'd say it's the best £99 I have ever spent and although I know it can't guarantee that something won't happen tomorrow, I feel much much happier overall now.

Hope everyone else is doing well today, we're now looking forward to telling our families at the weekend.

I'm just peeking in and saw the comments on reusables, I've been using them on my 18 mth DD since she was a few weeks old. If you're on fb there are loads of groups on there where people are selling and where people will give advice/help. If anyone is looking for any pointers pm me and I'll give the names, but Cloth Bum Mums is the main group :)

Anyone else have their tummy grow (or at least trousers get tighter) before their booking scan? I'm 4+6 (by my dates) and anything other than pj bottoms or my single knit skirt are already too tight! I've not gained any weight, and I'm not eating more. Just bloating?

DH keeps joking that we'll have twins... Some days it feels like that, but I really hope not!

Mrs TM - I was dreadfully bloated between 4-6 weeks - my trousers were actually tighter then than they are now at 8/9 weeks! Hopefully it will fade for you too as I found it pretty uncomfortable. Now it's just my kajungas that are a pain! x

becsxxx- so glad your scan went well! And that you got so many pictures!

Mrs_T_M - I am bloated and a definatly have a little bump is easy to see, but I wonder if because once you have a baby your tummy is already pre-stretched so you show quicker? Maybe it is twinsssss ohhhhhhhhh!

AFM - the sickness continues. Brushing my teeth is an experience I dread, literally as soon as the tooth brush goes in my mouth I am heaving. I have read morning sickness (or shall I say all day sickness) reaches its peak at 10 weeks because the hormoanes are at their highest then; and after 10 weeks they will start to decline which will ease it all. I don't care that its happening just wish I didn't feel so rotten with it. As long as the baby is taking all it needs I can handle it for the whole pregnancy if needed!

I have a private scan Saturday afternoon it would have been today but we pushed it back a few days which I regret now but I should be just shy of 10 weeks on Saturday and I will feel stronger once I know I have reached further than my mmc with my angel baby.

Sat eating a Mars Bar which has gone down like a treat before swimming lessons for DS. Yum.

    :)

Sorry you are still so poorly Samtoby - hopefully it'll ease off soon. Will be thinking of you at your scan on Saturday, can imagine you must be terribly nervous to get through this milestone.

(Claire16c if you're still lurking - hope you are also being less sick now)

I'm finding i feel most nauseous late at night at present. Off to eat more wotsits....

glad you had a good experience with BabyBond becsxxx, I'm certainly going to think about doing the same, but I could do with knowing how far along I am first! I think 5+3...

My jeans definitely feel a bit tighter too Mrs_T_M, but probably just bloating like you say!

I have had v. mild cramps these past few days, a constant mild nausea, sore b00bies and just a general feeling of needing to rest! All worth it though obviously!

Oh and baby brain is setting in... so many absent minded errors made today! Oops!
