Sounds like a horrendous experience SVSandy, thinking of you... A bit teary eyed actually...

Moonbabe58 congrats! I got my BFP on Tuesday and period like pains are what made me test... They're still there now but like you am putting it down to everything moving and stretching. I will mention it to my GP when I go on Wednesday, can't wait to get appointments booked in, especially a first scan!

Might be tmi but has anyone got discharge most of the time like before you ovulate? I asked the Midwife and she said its a good sign but just wondered if anyone else has it?

samtoby I've had a lot of discharge throughout, it's apparently the hormones, just like everything else really. i have to wear pantyliners every day at 24 weeks :)
it's not an issue but if it changes colour to green or yellow or starts to smell it could be a sign on infection

Yep. So much so that when I got home from meeting DH at the rail station (1 mile walk, one way), my knickers were soaked! Some of that was probably sweat, but still. I'm glad to hear it's normal though!

Right now I'm watching the Lord of the Rings movies (extended of course) trying to pass some time and cross stitching. Anything to make the time seem to go faster at the moment. My booking in appointment is 11/11 (which is slightly hilarious to me because my bfp came on 10/10 - and DH's birthday is 6/6!) and I'm trying not to count down to it. :o

If the baby is late, I slightly hope that it comes on 7/7, just for my weird numbers thing. :rotfl:

Niagra in your pants? :rotfl: Yeah, I have that and it's really common. Your body produces extra mucous to make your lady bits softer (to help with birth) and also prevent nasties getting in there.

Unfortunately all mucous membranes get moister so you might notice a more stuffy/runny nose too!

Someone asked about dieting? No, no, no. Now is not the time to be cutting back!

  • So sorry to hear your news SVSandy x

Ive been quiet - been avoiding this thread tbh as Im having a 'worried' week, no particular reason...Ive now got past the stage I did last time but Im still knicker checking it seems constantly!
    Not helped....by yes SamToby
I am rather 'damp' in the knicker department! Really cant remember this from last time, so hoping it is a positive sign...

Welcome Moonbabe & anyone else Ive missed x
