Mrs TM - I was dreadfully bloated between 4-6 weeks - my trousers were actually tighter then than they are now at 8/9 weeks! Hopefully it will fade for you too as I found it pretty uncomfortable. Now it's just my kajungas that are a pain! x

My kajungas have been sore since before I even tested. DH cannot even hug me at the moment poor thing. Also, I have to hold onto them with my left hand/arm coming down the stairs (banister is on the right side) to keep them from bouncing.

I've also *just* discovered that I can no longer handle anything with any heat to it. :( Tried eating a beef burger made with jalapenos. Mistake! My poor mouth is still burning! I used to love them too. *insert extremely pitiful face here*

I'm definitely bloating, so much so that a lot of people at work know now, and i'm in maternity clothes already, but that's probably a lot to do with the drugs i'm on. I can finish taking them all in 5 days though - WHOOHOO!

After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!
  • I am bloating big time, I am only 7 weeks + 5 days today but my belly is huge which is really noticeable as I am a size 6/8 so I am getting really paranoid at work that someone is going to say something!! Just wearing baggy jumper dresses at the moment and hoping that does the trick until after our 5th November scan after which we are planning on spreading the news far and wide :)

Sorry to hear you are still feeling sick samtoby :( if it continues you can go to your doctor and get anti sickness pills like I did - I didn't want to originally but it got so bad last week that I hadn't been to work in 4 days and I couldn't get halfway through a sentence without wretching :(

  • Kajungas......love it!!!!

Yep mine are ridiculously sore :( they have also literally doubled in size over the last 3-4 weeks. Am hoping it eases off but I fear it probably just gets worse..... Ah well should probably get used to it so it's not such a shock when I have a little person sucking them dry every 2 hours!!!

I did go to m&s and buy these non underwired bras which are so much more comfortable - and they were only £16 for two which was quite a good deal!

  • im so glad people are saying about the bloating, I was getting frustrated yesterday as my work uniform felt really tight and uncomfortable and so did my new coat...both of which I'd worn 2 days previously perfectly fine, no problems.

would it be daft to try and lose a few pounds now or is it bad for the baby? I wouldn't be being silly or restricting stuff just thought I might try and refollow slimming world for a few weeks.

samtoby sorry to hear you're feeling so sick! yuck.

God, the bloating is something else! Before this round of IVF I had lost about 23 lbs, and now I feel huge again, I haven't weighed myself, but all my clothes are neat, and the boobs are massive and horribly sore. I've been looking for non underwired bras, but will have to go to Bravissimo as I can't get my size in normal shops, even Debenhams don't stock 32HH maternity/non underwired and I would prefer to be measured instead of ordering online :( Ah well, at least it's Friday :)

Yay for Friday!! :T For me it means a whole two days of not having to pretend I am not pregnant/fat/constantly nauseous/falling asleep on my desk/eating everything in sight every 5 minutes in front of work people who don't know!! Woop!

Hello I haven't been on for a couple of weeks but I've had a bit of bad news.
I started having the worst morning sickness ever! I was constantly heaving and being ill about 6 times a day, not great. I also started having a bit of bleeding. TMI but it was very dark and not much off it. I rang the MW who said it was potentially an implantation bleed but if it got any worse to ring the docs. It didn’t get worse but it didn’t stop either so to be on the safe side I saw the docs who sent me in for an early scan.
At the scan they said they could see the pregnancy sac but no baby in there (I thought I was 7-8wks at that point). The image also showed that I had had something called a molar pregnancy. I’d never heard of it before. It’s meant to be rare, about 1 in every 800 pregnancies is molar.
Basically something went wrong at fertilisation but the egg still implants and the placenta grows but at a rapid rate and all the cells become filled with fluid. You also have very high levels of hcg which explained the sickness. It’s quite an invasive pregnancy so I couldn’t miscarry naturally and had to go in for a D&C last Friday.
I now need to have monthly blood checks to monitor my hcg levels. If they don’t go down it means that some cells have been left behind and they need to be treated with chemotherapy. Please keep your fingers crossed I don’t have to do this and that they’ve got it all out.

Anyway, I have to leave you all now :( . Spreading lots of sticky baby dust to you all and good luck in your pregnancies.

SVsandy, I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. Fingers massively crossed that everything will be ok now.

Well, baby brain has definitely kicked in hard today. Put cookies on to bake, thought I put the timer on for 15 minutes. Came and sat down and started winding cross stitch thread around bobbins. 22 minutes later, I smell something. Cue the "oh *beep*! The cookies!" mad dash to the kitchen. Luckily I'd put them on a bit lower temp than was needed, so nothing burned, but it's spooked me a bit to say the least. :o
