Good luck for tommorow elsie!

I've spent practically the whole day slobbing on the sofa feeling sick and headachey, not helping that my five year old is incapable of sitting still or being quiet lol! Still dont have a date for my scan, despite visting the gp on 27.09.13 where he dictated a letter referring me for a scan there and then! Got a cold call from someone claiming to be my midwife a few days later, who cant offer me an appt until 29.10.13 and when I said I needed an evening or a weekend appt she offered me 3pm on a weekday! Facepalm!

Struggling to find a private midwife still, is anyone else going private?

Mysecretalias - I'm really sorry you have been feeling so rubbishy. I'm glad your feeling much better now.

Mrs_T_M - My hubby is no longer surprised to see me in tears at the most ridiculous things on telly. He just rolls his eyes and carries on watching whatever the program happens to be. Wouldn't let me watch Bambi the other day though when I was having a nostalgic moment.

Elsie37 - Good luck for your scan tomorrow.

I have my first midwife appointment this afternoon. Quite nervous but hoping the midwife will be able to put my worries at ease. Was hoping she would be able to hear a heartbeat but after some reading I have realised that is unlikely. This morning I will be just getting the house cleaned up after the weekend. I dont know what it is about the weekend but after each one the house just feels like a bomb has hit it!

Morning all

Had my first midwife appointment on Friday.

She asked loads of questions and took some blood, she also got straight on the phone and booked my 12 week scan there and then!
Its on Friday 15th November

She said I dont go back and see her now until 16 weeks, so 2 months to wait

Been AWOL as have had a massively busy few days, but have been reading along, just not posting.

Had my booking in appointment with the MW last Thursday. She was very calm and no-nonsense. Telling her about my irrational worries was a real help and I generally felt like it's more "real" now a healthcare professional has been me!!!! Haven't got my scan date yet, but hopefully that will come through soon.

Was at a wedding on Friday - had a fab time, but completely exhausted for the rest of the weekend and am meant to be packing (we're moving in 3 weeks!). DH is a saint, looking after me and putting up with my moans!

Sophiasmum - I'm the same as you with the plain food at the moment - particularly crisps and potatoes!

Congrats Mrs TM! So pleased to see you on here! Welcome and congrats also to hwoolgar and anyone else I've missed.

Chelseablue - my MW apps sound exactly the same, don't see her again until 16 weeks unless there's a problem. What hospital did you decide on? I went for QMC in the end solely because of where we live.

Vickyvics - hope your MW app goes well. My MW was very calm and reassuring generally so I felt much happier afterwards. Yes it is me who is having an early scan at Baby Bond at Castle Marina. It's on Thursday when I'm a day before 9 weeks. Will let you know how it goes.

samtoby - are you feeling any better?
