Great news Lily!
I'm not brave enough to join the list yet - or the parenting clubs either...
I have heard that there is an address/website that will stop all baby-related post if the worst happens, although I'm not sure on the details.
I am starting to burst out of my biggest trousers! These trousers have been too big for me for months, but the combination of being pregnant (but only 8 weeks - not an excuse!) and putting on weight from eating loads and injecting more insulin means that they are now too tight and I'm desperate to change into my yoga pants after work. I'm determind not to change into maternity clothes until I'm 12 weeks, but I'm struggling for options! I don't really do leggings as I have fat legs, so have no clue what I'm going to do for the next 4 weeks.0 -
betty - what about bump bands? They are great for that early bloat, you can undo your trousers and they hold them up0

Thanks, I might try that! I'll have to make sure my tops are long enough to cover them though as I don't want anyone to figure out I'm pregnant before I'm ready to tell them0 -
Lily I'm so happy to read your HCG levels are going up.
FANTASTIC news!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

A myth I'm afraid. When you register a babies death or stillbirth you can opt in to this 'don't contact me' but it doesn't happen in reality.
Also, My vote will always go to maternity jeans! I love them and still wear mine despite DS being 17 months old nearly!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Hi all,
Just a quick question - is it still ok to eat takeaway (Chinese or Thai) whilst pregnant?
Thanks.
Hope you're all well and staying safe in this weather!
I have eaten Chinese but I was right in the midst of my pregnancy sickness phase so it just made me feel so ill I don't think I could do it again. I'm a veggie though so it wasn't meat based (dunno if that makes a difference!)
12 weeks today and in complete limbo...2 weeks to scan and no idea if it's ok, if it's one or two in there or what. No due date given not even estimated! Purely going on my own dates which would make me due on Sep 25th I think. So all in all I'm getting pretty fed up of waiting. I've told my team at work and feel a bit of div having no facts at all about my own pregnancy!0 -
congratulations applepie!
great news on the scan kittenpie
so glad things are going well lilymay
feeling a bit better, had a very anxious moment yesterday whilst OH tried to comfort me by saying 'what's the point in worrying'. He did point out that the fact that there are so many people in the world should show me that the odds are in my favour. It didn't help then but I feel better now!0 -
Good morning all! I'm working at home today as my LO is a bit under the weather, so although he's going to nursery later I want to be on hand in case he needs collecting early. TBH it's good to have an excuse as I'm completely exhausted and good do with an easy day, especially being able to slob around (working) in my jogging bottoms. I might even have a nap after lunch:) - as long as I get my work done at some point today hopefully no-one will know/mind.0

Morning everyone,
Hope we are all feeling happy. I'm a bit annoyed. Just phoned the midwifery unit to see how it all happens where I live and she basically just said 'when we get the GP referral we do a booking in appointment at 10 or 11 weeks. So I phoned the GP and he hasn't done a referral because he sent me to gynae last week. *sigh* Good job this isn't my first pregnancy and I know to harass people until they do things. I would have been waiting a long time otherwise.
Too many different systems that don't talk to each other; EPAU, GP's, Consultants, Midwives.
Anyway, rant over. I'm just about to take DS to playgroup and I am trying so hard to make sure I don't tell one of the other mums. I am feeling really hopeful about it all now. Levels are rising at a brilliant rate, i'm progressively feeling worse. Its all good14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130
