Hi all thanks so much for your welcomes and words of reassurance
I went to my doctors last night to register (just recently moved into my boyfriends) and asked if I could get an appointment right there but was told earliest was today at 5:30 so I've taken that. Today has absolutely dragged by again. I am at work and every second feels like an hour. My boss picked up that something was up and she and I are very close so I told her - she was thrilled but I warned her not to get excited yet as no-one else knows and I don't even know if everything is ok. I am really hoping when I go this evening they can scan me or at least give me some sort of reassurance because I don't think I can cope with another day of this torment not knowing if everything is okOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Mysecretalias Unfortunately I'm not sure the doctors will be able to give you a scan tonight (I may be wrong though). When I went to my first doctors appointment it was almost just to let them know what was going on for their records and to book me in with the midwife at 9 weeks. Im assuming that she will then book me in for a scan. At the moment though I am considered low risk so in their eyes there is no need for me to go in any quicker. Due to your worries and circumstances they may send you to the midwife quicker and book an earlier scan. I think a lot of it depends on the area you live in and your doctors and midwives. I'm sure everything is ok and I wish you good luck with your appointment tonight. xxx0

Hi All
Patiently waiting on Thursday arriving...........told my parents at the weekend, I knew they'd be pleased but was totally overwhelmed at just how over the moon they are, really sweet. Now crossing everything that everything is just as it should be on Thursday.
Finding myself getting carried away looking at prams etc - I need to can it until after Xmas but its so tempting.
Faith - Hope its all good, would love to see a pic
Chelseablue - Havent experienced it myself but many others have and everythings been fine, keep your chin up! Roll on Thursday.......
Samtoby - Sorry you feel so rough, but yah for symptoms!0 -
Hi girls,
Thank you for your well wishes!
Scan went really well, we saw the baby and it's very chilled out like its daddy so had a few problems getting a good pic (queue me jumping up and down to make it move more lol). It gave us a wave and done some flips and they were really happy with the measurements
We are exactly 13 weeks as I thought so very pleased.
Have tried to get a photo of our 3d scan pic (we had these free as we are involved in a trial) so hope this works.
Hopefully we will get a better/clearer photo next time! Suppose I should be off to the next board, can't wait to see you all there!!
Will be sneaking back in here though to check on all the updates if that's okay though
Before I go Chelseablue, I had (lightish) bleeding at 6 weeks and had an early scan because of this. Unfortunately due to it being so early I had to have an internal which was a little uncomfortable but not as bad as I thought it would be. Baby was fine and they couldn't find a reason for the bleed and it stopped and started for another week or so then stopped completely. They said it just may be a natural thing for me, so please don't panic (although I know I definitely did!). I will check in to see how it goes for you.
13 weeks exactly :j0 -
Congrats Faith2009uk!
Glad youve been signed off SamToby - make sure you rest. your body has been through a lot x
No experience on the bleeding at 6 weeks Chelseablue - must be very worrying for you, I hate how long it takes for them to arrange scansRoll on Thursday.
I dont have many symptoms and had normal pregnancies and little symptoms with my first 2 pregnancies - I think that for many women, no symptoms are normal!0 -
Congrats Faith2009uk!!!! Lovely pic and so pleased for you x.0

Morning all, just checking in.
Thank you all for the loveley warm re-welcome, its been great for people to see and understand my journey so far and all the support i'm getting on here.
My first milestone is looming (6 weeks on Saturday) and I just want it to get out of the way. I'm still petrified and on constant knicker-watch but we are planning on having a private scan at about 8-9 weeks which is only 3ish weeks away which will put my mind at ease.
Anyone else get weird twinges in their lower tummy? I've also been cramping a little as well. I know this is my 3rd pregnancy but I cant remember what happened last time
Congrats to Faith on the scan!! Lovley picture xx

chelseablue - My SIL bled for a few weeks around 5-8 weeks. Everything was fine and she's 6 months along now. Had a few scans and the bleeding was from above where the baby was so unaffected. The bleeding stopped eventually and everything going fine with the pregnancy.
samtoby - pleased that you're taking it easy - no running wound with the hoover whilst you're supposed to be resting
faith - pleased that everything went well, whata cute photo! Hope to see you in the 12-24 thread very very soon
katy - best of luck for your scan today.
goppers - I've had a few twinge-y crampy feeling over the weeks. I just put it down the everything moving and stretching in there and I remember it from last time. I wonder if any of us really stop knicker watching :rotfl:
12 weeks today and my scan is on Friday. Ironically, I spent some time with my parents on Monday who live away but I didn't tell them, so it'll have to be a phone call after the scan, tee hee. Shame I couldn't tell them in person but wanted to wait until after the scan......
Hope that you're all having a good dayTTC #3..........0
