Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3

Hi All,

Had our first scan today and saw one perfect heartbeat and measuring 7.2mm. It was so emotional. I didn't sleep a wink last night and felt so sick with nerves this morning (not ms - although I think that's starting to kick in slightly!)

We've been put back to 6+3 and have another scan booked for the week after next when we'll be 8+3, then god willing we'll be signed off to midwife care. I have my booking in appointment next Friday on my birthday!

I can't believe we're here after over 4 years. We've never had a scan where there was something in there. To see a tiny heartbeat was amazing.

We feel like the luckiest people alive right now.

when you say put back to 6+3, how much behind is that? I wouldn't worry too much about what you're measuring atm, they're so small and so scrunched up that there's room for error

Hi TL,

No, i'm not worried. Put back 3 days by my dates (from lmp) but they've gone exactly on 3dt so their date will be closer.
Really can't wait for 9w scan - today was just a blob with a flicker, but the 9w one should look like a baby!

Congratulations!!! Thats amazing. I think as soon as I hear anything like a heartbeat I'll be an emotional wreak. Could you see the baby in the scan? I cannot wait to book my first scan. Unfortunately the doctors I go to don't give you a midwife appointment until 9 weeks :eek: xxx

Heyyy, had my scan today and we have a lovely heartbeat and healthy looking baby. I originally had twins, as there are two sacs but one stopped early on, they did say it wall have no effect on the one still there though and that it is growing healthily with a strong heartbeat. Have to go back next week for cubs as the position today wasn't good for it

Same old here. Feeling fine today, and I have been for the last week or so...I'm really scared about my scan on Thursday. I haven't told my boss (I'm a PA too), and don't plan till until after my 12 week scan. Which might be on Thursday or might be in a couple of weeks. If all is ok I'm looking forward to finding out how many weeks I am, it's horrible not knowing!

The difference is amazing. We had a 6 week scan at our fertility clinic then 8+5 private scan. Seeing the difference is mind blowing... And explains the tiredness!!!

thanks, I wasn't really upset I hope that doesn't sound heartless but I never did expect more than one so the fact one was there and healthy I was happy with that, two would have been lovely but hard, hard work. I do feel a little sense of loss but I am more excited that baby is healthy, hopefully all will continue to go well until he/she is here
