    welcome chelseablue

I've not had sickness (or in my first pregnancy either). Apart from feeling a bit more tired than usual and the odd spot of feeling sick before I eat in the morning, I feel pretty normal, so having no symptoms is totally nothing to worry about. Enjoy the non sickness for as long as it lasts ;)

    Thank you, I will :)

Still in total shock at the moment, just doesnt seem real
  • Hellooooo!!!Hope everyone is having a happy Monday!:j

Today has been a college day for me (I study AAT through work). It was my first day since before the summer holiday and since getting pregnant. Pre pregnancy I never realised how terrible the chairs were! My back is agony. So much pain! They were those terrible plastic ones that are basically large versions of the chairs you find in school. To be fair I had back pain before I went to college. It just didn't help matters. In thinking of trying to transfer to home study and then hopefully get it all complete before the end of my pregnancy.

Is anyone else having bad lower back pain? I'm only 5+1 so baby is no more than a seed atm. Is it normal to have back pain this early in a pregnancy? Can't wait to see the midwife so I know what to expect and what's normal. So tired of being constantly worried.

On a positive note hubby is crazy excited at becoming a dad and just wants to shout it from the rooftops. He doesn't understand my worries at all or my want to keep it quiet for the time being.

Samtoby - Nipped into work this afternoon after college and it seems not to have spread it around. Although I plan on quizzing hubby later to just make sure. :T I think we will be due around the same time :p

Thanks to all who updated - we can try to get it in some kind of order soon maybe - well a guess anyway :)

Thanks for doing the list! I've just added my date to the list :)

Glad your news hasn't gone too far around the office VickyVics. My OH told all of his work place pretty much straight away where I have only told my very close friends at work. It's kinda sweet though.

    Welcome chelseablue!

Well I had to tell a couple of SLT at work as my morning sickness got too bad to cover up. They have been supportive which is good. Although ive been told the sickness is supposed to be a good sign, it's still worrying me when I hear of others who have had it and go on to have their 12 week scans and had sad news. Think I'm just starting to go through a phase of worrying more than ever. :(

11 weeks tomorrow and 2 weeks tomorrow till scan I believe. V. nervous and excited at same time.

I think it's different for everyone, so far I've just had tiredness and nausea when I get hungry. This is the same as my first pregnancy but I think I feel more tired this time around.

DH keeps telling its because I'm running about after an 18mth old this time instead of sitting on my bum counting beans in an office. I swapped being an accountant for being a SAHM and some days I really, really miss it!! :o

I had lower back pain in the early weeks, I'm pretty sure it's because of the increase amount of progesterone which relaxes your muscles and ligaments. Make sure you are sitting properly and as supported as possible :) mine went away at about 10 weeks and has come back now at 16 weeks

I have a weird pain in my pelvis area, or maybe my bladder muscles I can't tell - has anyone had this ?

It's worse if I walk fast or walk a lot and unbearable if I try to run...
  • I think I will be due around May time, my little boy's birthday is 30th May so we may have an expensive month on our hands haha!

I feel completely fine, my boobs seem fuller but I haent been sick or anything.

  • Morning all,

    scan tomorrow - eeek!

Feeling rather good this morning been round early doors to check on bf's mum's dogs, back home and ready for work including a shower :) Now sat here thinking about everything I need to achieve today...yawn! Half day tomorrow though so yay :)

Just hoping everything is alright with me feeling a bit more 'normal' the past couple of days.

Still haven't told the exec director but really need to get a shuffle on with doing that! We have roughly worked out the mat leave ideas I think - I will aim to start mat leave on 17th March and take six months meaning I'll go back to work in early September. I'll be asking to move to compressed hours/4 days a week - so either 9-5 Tues-Fri or 8-5 Tues-Fri. Giving me Mondays off which will be our busiest/hardest (childcare wise) day and will allow me to go to rugby training with bf and baby and not interfering with my line managers work as she does the same hours but Mon-Thurs :)

Has anyone formally told their employer yet??
