  • How did I get to be second on the list so quickly?!

twigpig yeah it was strange, it was just that one time and then I've had nothing else since then!

Treated myself last night, my skin has gone quite bad again on my legs so I have cream from the Dr but I rarely use it as it smells so medical and takes such a long time! But last night I had a bubble bath (not too hot and window open to make our bathroom less steamy - it can get like a real stream room!) And set to sorting myself out. Nice little pamper later I just needed to repaint my fingernails but will do that tonight :-)

    Feeling good today

Thanks :) would any of them pick up this early (sorry I don't know much about them) my period isn't due until around the 24th.

    Xx

If your period is due on the 24th you probably ovulated around 2 days ago. Are you sure you're not getting ovulation pains?

Do you have very long cycles?

You say you would have conceived 2 weeks ago but if your period is due in 2 weeks, then 2 weeks ago would have been around the time of your period or just after?!

Its not the same kind of pain, plus I dont usually start getting pain until a couple of days before my period. Conception would have beenjust over a week after my last period.

Here's the rest of my post from earlier.... . :rotfl:

cookingmama - welcome and congrats

lannieduck - Glad your scan went well. Shame you needed the 16 weeks blood test. Sounds like the sonographer really tried - an hour?! lol

marywooyeah - welcome and congrats to you

loudfish - If it's been 2 weeks since you ovulated, then it mostly would show up on a pregnancy test now. If you think you ovulated about a week after your last period and that seems normal to you (for most women, that's a little early) - again, you'd need to count 2 weeks from the ovulation to get any sort of result on a test. Hope you get the outcome that you're hoping for :)

lushlifesaver - Pleased that the discharge has gone as quickly as it came.... :)

Some of you ladies were talking about £5 for scan pictures. It's £3 at our hospital and I thought that was steep! I don't even think it goes to charity either.....

We're 9+4 today and had an early private scan last week. All looked fine, one baby, heart beating and measured just a few days ahead of what where we expected. Our 12w scan date came through yesterday for the 4th Oct, so not long to wait now. Thankfully, still no sickness here. A little nausea in the morning before I eat but so far, feeling pretty normal (excpet a little tired). Hope everyone has a nice relaxing week planned. :)

Thanks :) I'm not sure of exact date of my last period & so can't work it out exactly. I dont know whether to wait & see if my period comes before doing a test, I think that would probably be best but I'm so impatient!

  • Hello ladies, hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Just had a delish roast so I am now enjoying a good veg out on the sofa. I am now officially 5 weeks today :T!

We have been and told our parents today. It feels early but at the same time I feel like I need them to know to keep me from going insane with worry!

Slightly peeved at the hubby as he met up with a couple of friends (one of which we work with) for drinks last night and got drunk. He then let slip about us being pregnant! Now I'm dreading going into work tomorrow (we work at the same company) as I'm sure it will now be spreading around the office . So much for keeping it quiet for these 12 weeks. I just hope we haven't jinxed it.

Samtoby - My symptoms sounds very similar to yours so I am going to take that as good sign. I am super tired all the time, crazy back pain which then prevents me from getting to sleep easily and nausea whenever I get hungry...oh yeah and I cannot stop going to the loo!!! I also feel like Im bloated. I haven't really changed eating habits but trousers feel tighter.

Lushlifesaver - Congrats on reaching the 12 week scan. That is amazing. I cannot wait to reach that point! I think when I start showing it will all become so much more real!

Loudfish - I'm not sure a test would pick up a pregnancy that early but I guess everyone is different. I would say the best thing to do would be to wait until nearer to your period due date as tests are not cheap.

I've added myself to the bottom of the list if thats ok. I only know the estimated due date as I don't have my first midwife appointment until the 14th October. I'm assuming we wont be having a scan done then though???

You'd normally receive confirmation of your scan by post. In some areas, the midwife refers to this hospital for this before seeing you so you might see it pop through the post before this appointment. Or she might book in with you at the appointment. It's a bit different in different areas. Here the first midwife appointment is at 8 weeks. :)

Thanks for adding me to the scan list. Just woke up from a nap been feeling awful since I posted on here this morning. Watched two films then a sore head/stomach came on me ( sick/bloated feeling) starting to feel a bit better now, OH wasn't very sympathetic grrrr, he's making dinner now ( well really supper but was too ill to eat earlier) and he is in the bad books as he said I was exaggerating - I wasn't !!!
