Hey there
,
This is the first time I have posted on this thread before but I guess I really needed some advice or perhaps just somewhere to talk where people will understand.
Having realised I am late for my period I did my first test this morning. I saw a tiny faint line which gradually become darker, however not trusting this cheapy test I have been out and brought a second 'First Response' test. Shockingly it also says I am pregnant (the two lines are the same darkness).
There is a part of me that is so unbelievably excited about it as I have been hanging out on the 'waiting to TTC thread' (we wanted the decorating to be finished and have a bit more in the way of savings before trying). But there is also a part of me that is terrified because it wasn't planned. I know my husband will be slightly shocked when I tell him but as we are married and have a house and stable jobs I know it will be fine. I guess I am just a little bit shell shocked, but happy of course.
If this positive is a BFP then what do I have do now. After telling hubby that isThank you in advance. I have been reading through a couple of posts from the past few days and even just reading those has made me feel much calmer. So thank you for that as well

Hi Vicky
First of all, congratulations! Now take a breath!! Its happened sooner than you planned, but there's never a "right" time is there?
Its worth ringing your doctors surgery, as it varies place to place. At mine you have to see a doctor before they refer you on to the midwife team. Then I got a booking in appointment at around 8 weeks. Others I know don't get to see a midwife till much later.Mini me due March 2014

Soooo happy for you Claire!! Great news and lovely photo
Hi to the newbies! :hello:
Well I'm 10 + 1 and experiencing LOTS of stretching and what feels like pressure in my stomach this evening. Not painful but a little uncomfortable luckily it doesn't last too long and goes on and off.
Hope everyone's doing well x0 -
Morning everyone,
How are we all doing today?
I'm only up 40minutes and feel like I've done a full day but I'm sure I'll pick up soon now I've had breakfast. Got a busy day at work today so need to make sure I'm on the ball and up to date as much as possible.
Keeping feeling like there is a cement balloon just under my ribs pushing everything about which is a curious feeling indeed but I'm taking it as a good thing!
Hope your sickness is a bit better today Claire :-)
Glad your stretching feeling isn't unbearable and comes and goes for you faith :-)
11+5 today and my app says 198 days to go if baby was precisely on time, odd to think it's so close and when I think about the fact that by April we will be holding him/her is just seems to be ready to fly past in a blink:(************************************
