I'm having some dinner tonight but not particularly looking forwards to it, having it about 8pm though so it's more a supper.

I did go out for dinner at the weekend and enjoyed it though...

I haven't been sick but still feel nausea throughout the day.
This time next week will have had scan!!
  • Good luck with your scan tomorrow Claire! X

Good luck for tomorrow Claire. X
 Mini me due March 2014
  • Good luck tomorrow Claire :)

I'm feeling huge today, I'm so bloated I look 5 months gone - sure it'll settle down but slightly worried about raising suspicions as we've kept it quiet this time. Loose fitting clothes tomorrow I think!

I had that £10 voucher through - it is a £30 min spend but has 30 days to use - I guess if you have things you plan to buy its great but I'm trying not to fall into the trap of finding something to buy to 'save' the money!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

    Thanks everyone xx
  • Good luck today Claire - hope your sickness starts to wear off soon too :)

I have my scan a week today, still only two people at work that know and now I might be expected to go on a networking trip to the St Leger races n Friday so hopefully the dress I plan to wear won't show my bloating too much, think I will have to try it on tonight and see. Hoping to get out of it though - can think of nothing worse this week that standing around all day on a chilly racecourse whilst the others drink away!

I seem to get hungry and then faint/light headed and shaky really quick but then for breakfast I've only been having a small/medium sized bowl of cereal with milk and a cuppa so today I treated myself to a hot breakfast before work! have brought some fruit, tortilla chips and cuppa soup in for lunch (our office is so cold we need warm food at the minute!) too.

Is it wrong to be looking forward to the maternity leave I'll get/take already?! I know I'll use my 10 KIT days as long as the exec director agrees to it but still - looking forward to focussing on our little family and my other little projects :)

  • Good luck for today Claire!

Nothing much to report here. Symptoms have pretty much disappeared so feeling a bit negative. Not having a clue about how many weeks I am makes it difficult as if I did I could maybe convince myself that it's the placenta taking over etc. at least I have my scan next Thursday which will means I'll know.

On a positive note my best friend had a baby boy on Sunday. He's gorgeous and she was actually really positive about labour. I like to hear good stories!

Congratulations to your friend. I only hear horror stories of labour :( Everyone does say though that as soon as baby is 'out' it's all forgotten about. :D

Well the scan went so well! I just can't believe it. I'm 11+3 but baby is now measuring 12 weeks so must have had mini growth spurth! So they're keeping my due date as 23rd March as they don't adjust it at my hospital unless you're a week over.

At first the baby wasn't moving so I was worried but she showed us the heart beat really quick, and then it started to move after a while, put it hands up by its head, then really stretched out on their back we were laughing! So got two nice detailed photos will post later.

We got the nuchal fold measured and they said it was a perfect measurement so after a discussion with a midwife we declined the blood tests as she asked us what wed do if the number came back as high risk, and we said nothing so we all agreed it was best not to get a number as could potentially cause worry for nothing and I was just happy to get the good measurement.

Just so surreal I can't wait to start feeling it move as now I know it is!

Went straight to my mums and we both burst into tears, just so glad it was happy tears this this around! X
