Sexk11en - I have taken at least 1 test a day for the last 6 days. All cheapies...my first response should hopefully arrive tomorrow and then I'll probably call it quits (for a while, ha).

Some lovely scan and baby pics over the last few days - congrats ladies :)

Lushlifesaver - I might try the carbonated water. So so thirsty but I just can't drink enough plain water. I can feel it just sitting in my stomach...bit of fizz and flavour might do the trick. Really hungry too like an hour after I've just eaten :rotfl:

Not going to tell work until my scan if I can avoid it. They are last on my list of priorities and I don't have a risky or physical job. Family and friends are exciting...I will probably feel guilty telling work.

sjlou - I seem to have lost a few lbs recently and the only thing I have done differently is come off the pill. Not started throwing up yet and not really changed my eating habits yet. Lower starting weight is a bonus in my view :o

I have taken quite a big leap today and gone ahead and booked my first midwife appointment for 25th September when I get back from my hols. This is me accepting my pregnancy after 6 days of BFPs :D

So...I have a fun situation at work - the chief exec has decided to help our events manager (my direct line manager who already knows) and me with our outfits for our black tie annual dinner!
As he doesn't know yet I'm planning on something with an empire line which I will be able to fit in to at 4.5 months pregnant! I've found a couple of nice ones to ask for options on though so that's OK! He'll know by the dinner but I didn't want to get something I'll then not be able to wear.

We're trying to sort it out in the next few days; dress, shoes, accessories, the lot! Wish me luck - I'm girly but not very good at shopping usually :-)

Not feeling as bleurgh this morning which is nice, just not sure what I'll be taking to work for lunch so need to sort that out asap.

Hope everyone is feeling good and pips are all behaving themselves :-)

Had mine yesterday Elsie my drs does them between 8-10 weeks.

Had to go back to the nurse today after the midwife not being able to get enough blood from me yesterday even thugh normally I'm easy for that. Turns out it wasn't the midwife as the nurse tried one arm & it wasn't coming out so I started crying as I'd already been sick 3 times this morning & she said i think your body is just exhausted and doesn't want to give it up!

We then discussed not doing it for another week the only con was the hospital don't like to arrange scans until they've had the bloods.. So then she put the strap thing on my other arm and just saw if she thought she could get enough, and she said I think I can probably if you're happy to let me.

Luckily it was fine & she got enough! Which is a relief as I did not want to go back again to have it happen possibly a 3rd time!

So at least I can ring up for my scan next week now.

If you are dehydrated it is very difficult to get blood x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The damn postman didn't bring my FR test today :( and he doesn't come until about 2pm so I have a right wait tomorrow aswell, ha! However, today is the day AF was due and I'm very pleased to say...no sign of it :D Yay!! Looking forward to the coming months.

Sjlou - will this be your first baby?

Cpoir - yep first for us. I'll be turning 30 later this year, so no spring chicken! But feeling a bit panicy, ill be responsible for an actual baby! Eeek! Hardly feel an "adult" myself!
    Will it be your first?

I was told the same about bloods and being dehydrated. My arm looked battered and bruised for a week after their attempts on my veins!
