I am feeling so rough today :(

I have been so sick, that I have nothing left to give. I have been reduced to tears now and feeling very sorry for myself.

I know I should feel grateful but at the moment it's hard to be pleased.

    Welcome newbies!

    8 + 6 today :j

Faith I've had a couple of crying sessions the past few nights.

Then I cry as I feel guilty for crying. DH said look I give you permission to be upset no one wants to feel sick!

I said last night I've now felt sick 24/7 and been puking every day, sometimes around 8-10 times, awake in the night being sick and unable to sleep, for almost 5 weeks now. It's just got to a point where I feel like its beating me/I can't cope.

But I know if I didn't feel sick I'd be even more in a panic with worry than I already am already, so then I kind of hope to feel sick too, so I basically can't win!

I'm 10+ 2 so I also know its likely this will continue for a while.
  • If it's any consolation at all I'm struggling because I don't feel sick. I get occasional waves of nausea, usually when I feel myself getting hungry, but only about once a day do I feel like I might actually be sick (and so far I haven't been at all). A few people have posted on here and other websites that you're more likely to have a miscarriage if you don't get morning sickness (although I can't find much to back that up, it's still horrible to read) so if you were feeling better you'd probably find yourself worrying. I know it's not much consolation but I really think I'd feel better about the pregnancy if I was feeling worse...

I did have a massive breakdown on Saturday because I had to have a bath rather than a shower. I was really crying! Felt like a complete numpty afterwards!

I'm in the same camp as Laura, only mild nausea when hungry... Otherwise fine - of course I'm paranoid this is a bad sign rather than feeling lucky.

Am also having some hilarious mood swings - was an emotional wreck during some program about odd animals making friends the other night because one had died and left his friend alone. Oh dear!

Scan 3 weeks today - I'm both counting the days and dreading it in equal measure.

Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • Scan tomorrow, feel incredibly sick. Still not told boss.

Just picked up on this. Everybody reacts differently to hcg so not having morning sickness is in no way an indicator of miscarriage. Very generally speaking, those who have a lot of sickness tend to have viable pregnancies but don't go convincing yourself of the worst if you are lucky enough to not be ill.

  • Thank you soo much girls!

I would be worried if I wasn't feeling rubbish yet hate it when I am. Can't win. I'm lucky I haven't had it as bad as you Claire, I don't know how I would cope if I was that bad.

My hormones are definitely bad today as I had road rage, trolley rage and checkout rage (self service luckily) within the space of 40 mins. I'm putting it down to feeling rough but now just want to crawl up and cry as I feel so guilty.

I know its going to be like this for a while, and just hope I learn to deal with it with a little more grace eventually :o

Good luck with scans , Squ1rrel and Sjlou x

    Thanks faith.

Don't worry, your hormones are going to be all over the place! I find myself getting irritated over the smallest things and crying at anything remotely sad on tv.

Really hope the nausea !!!!!!s off soon though.

Girls that aren't feeling the sickness too badly, firstly yay!! Secondly, I had nausea when I was hungry in my first pregnancy but no actual puking. My daughter was absolutely fine! I think it's simply the luck of the drawer so to speak :o

My emotions are all over the shop, I was in a full on strop for most of Sunday because I had been promised a lie in by DH for over a week and then he woke up with man flu so I had to get up with Frog and then take her out for the day so that he could rest. Pah!!!!!

I have my booking in appointment with the midwives on Friday so I will have to try to blend that with meeting up with the NCT girls I still see now. One of our group is already 20 weeks pregnant with her second and as far as I know I'm the next one to get up the duff :D they don't know yet obviously, so trying to keep the secret but it wouldn't surprise me if they guess!

  • Well I never told my boss. If built myself up to tell her at end of the day and waited til everyone else had gone home. Then just as I was about to say her phone rang and she started a long conversation with a client!!!
Oh well, if all goes well ill tell her tomorrow. I'd not its a brave face in the meeting!
