Good luck tomorrow Jox!
I'm 12 weeks tomorrow, never believed I'd get to this point, but will be moving on to the next board.
Thank you all for your support and making me feel slightly more normal!
See you all on the other side!0 -
Becca thanks for doing the chart. You can prob take me off now as I had my scan last week and all was well even though I was only 11 weeks. 12 weeks today so time to move boards.
Best of luck to everyone on here. It was such a long wait for us to get to this stage but its worth it! Told ll my colleagues today-there were lots of shrikes of joy!! Back for second scan tomorrow when they'll do exact measurements as last week I was too early. Night night!! (Still feeling exhausted-when will this stop!!)0 -

Hi girls,
Great news about your scan date sjlou. I would have thought you would be fine for those dates, but they may just book in another scan a week later if it comes to it.
Hope your scan went okay today Jox
Well I just got off the phone to the Dr as I have woken up and found some (TMI) brown discharge again on TP. It's happened on and off over the last few days (one day none at all) but had LOTS of tears. He has told me as I have no pains and this used to happen before my P anyway it sounds like it should be fine (he was very nice on the phone and reassuring as he could be). Im still in tears though...partners away till Friday and I am still worrying. Have my actual Drs appointment on Thursday, hoping I can last till at least then and can get some bloods done etc.
Sorry to be such a downer girls
6 weeks today0 -
Faith: If the doctor was reassuring on the phone, that's a good sign. If he had been worried, he would have told you to go to a walk-in centre/hospital. I understand it's not easy to stop worrying tho.
I had actual morning sickness this morning. I'm hoping this is the peak of the queasiness rather than the beginning of actual sicknessI know it's nothing compared to what Claire and Squirrel have been suffering, but I'd rather not go down that route...
Have to go have my booking bloods done this afternoon at the hosp. The midwives at my booking appt on Sat couldn't find a vein

Sjlou, i think it just depends on the individual doing th scan / area. I was only 9+1 when i had my scan but they didn't make me go back again (which is a shame because I would love another scan!)
Faith, thinking of you. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done).
Today I came hom from work ill, have the most dreadful headache, any ideas what I can do to shift it that is pregnancy friendly?0 -

urgh bloody veins! I still have the bruises from when they took my bloods last monday!
Took 2 phlebotomists to find a vein. Then she only just about got enough to fill all the vials. Do you have to go to see phlebotomy now? They should be better.
They threatened to send me away but they managed it on the 3rd try.
One of the things I hadn't been told is to drink about 2 litres of water an hour or so before your appointment. Don't know how I'd hold that in long enough though!:rotfl:
faith sounds like your doctor wasn't too concerned. At least you know you're seeing a doctor this week.
jennifer i think ibuprofen are not allowed but paracetamol should be fine. Worth googling though or checking on the nhs website? The only thing that got rid of my headache last week was lots of sleep!
true! Another scan wouldn't be a bad thing!Mini me due March 2014

Faith, sorry you're upset, it's hard not to worry but make sure you get some support and a big hug from family or friends, take care.
So far over the past few weeks I've taken a Nytol, a Ducolax and a paracetemol, I hate to do it but couldn't sleep, was constipated and had a horrible pain in my leg (not all on same day)!
Scan went well, me and hubby went together at 9am (I woke up at 4am and was up ever since) and there is a little jelly baby! I'm not sure how to add an image so let's see if this works....
Thanks for your support and good wishes everyone, I spontaneously burst into tears when I saw the ultrasound! Hubby was a bit red eyed when I looked at him
I had blood taken to test for Downs and other things so that's the next thing to be nervous about. A preg lady was smoking outside the maternity unit, I'm so glad I gave up 8 years ago...0 -
Great scan pic Jox, so pleased for you0
