I'm starting to get waves of nausea & feeling like I want to retch at bad smells. We are on a couple of trains before getting to the airport to fly home south, after visiting friends up north & on an earlier train a smell of manure was coming in as we went past some fields, DH had to get up & shut the window! We're now waiting for a second train & I have the horrible need the loo but nothing's happening feeling & then were on a train for 2 hours & I refuse to use train loos! So just hoping I will be ok. It's crazy how much the hormones mess with your digestive system!

I am so annoyed at our hospital right now. Phoned up to change my 12 week scan date as they booked it when we are away, which I asked my MW not to. They won't do our scan before 12 weeks as we want the NT part too. So I asked if we didn't have that, could we have the scan at the end of 11 weeks. No. So now I have to either cancel my holiday or cut it short, unless I want a 12 week scan in mid September when I'll be about 15 weeks. It's ridiculous.

Birdie that's great news. Congratulations and hopefully we will all be joining you very soon x

Claire hope you feel better x

Becca-rather than cut your holiday short, would it be worth having the NT scan done privately at a time that suits you?
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

I had thought about this but I can't seem to find anywhere locally that does this.

I'm going to the nurse tomorrow to let them know I'm pg, so goodness knows when I'll get a scan date....I'm thinking of getting a doppler or whatever it's called to see if I can hear a heartbeat from 12 weeks on.

I need to eat within 30 mins of getting up or I feel very sick!

I've completely gone off tea now, went off coffee right at the beginning.

I have to eat pretty quick in the morning as well or I feel sick. Everyone else I know gets morning sickness with some people losing weight- not here!!

Only thing with a doppler they can take ages to find the heartbeat, but it's lovely when you do hear it. I never had one, but my friend got one. She's a nurse so knew more where to look, but still struggled sometimes.

Thanks lola, I've not really lost my appetite, I keep picking on things throughout the day, mostly bready type things and my stomach is so bloated and swollen, it was terrible on Friday evening and on Sat I started writing down what I eat so I can keep an eye on fruit and veg intake which is sadly very low and to be more conscious of what I'm putting in my mouth!

Imagine how stressed I would be trying to find a heartbeat and not managing to! I may just wait for the scan, but I keep telling OH that it may just show a giant cupcake or fish and chips in there, he tells me not to be negative!

I've been quiet the last few days as we had a bit of a fright over the weekend. Had some bloody discharge and cramps so had a scan at the local EPAU this morning. Everthing is ok and it was amazing to see little peas heartbeat. I'm 8+2 by my dates but measuring at 9+2 so see what date comes up at the 12 week scan.
12 week scan due 30th august if someone could kindly add that to the list.
Still crampy but feel reassured now. Hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend and good luck to all ladies having scans this week.
