Need a nap - the heat I think not the baby.

Excellent picture - great image of the yolk sac too. (The circle bit you can see inside the sac if not sure)

Find it amazing how quick they grow.

    Congrats Becca, fab pic!

I had my booking in appt today and made a fool of myself. I fainted after my blood test! Oops! In my defense I already felt sick and dizzy, the heat didn't help either.

She didn't really tell me anything new but she booked my scan date - 24th July. I'm so nervous! I'm working all day but work at the hospital anyway, I don't know whether to try to change my shift incase it isn't good news, I don't think I'd want to go back to my ward if it's bad. What is everyone else doing?

Can I join? Got my BFP a couple of weeks ago with my 1st, so by my calculations I'm 6+3. Excited but I've been getting quite bad morning sickness (from 5+4) and struggling not telling work as so wiped and queasy in the day (after vomiting before even getting to work).

And to add to everything I'm currently applying for a promotion at work to a different team!

Hi Judith_W congrats and welcome! Have you found anything that helps your nausea? I find if I snack often then the nausea doesn't get any worse (still constant but it doesn't develop!) Polo mints help me too.

15 weeks pigpen, how on earth did you keep quiet that long? Did you go for the scan yourself?

To be fair I haven't had that many periods Jox so DH really doesn't have a clue. Only had 4/5 then got pregnant, miscarried, 3 periods and pregnant again.

I'm quite surprised that its happened so quick!

Don't worry about fainting Faeire, just the heat can make anyone feel woozy.

I usually go to scans by myself.. bit pointless taking anyone else there isn't anything much to see.. besides I knew OH would be an @r$e about the pregnancy so I simply didn't tell him. He came to the 20 week scan and insisted on finding out the flavour :(

I was really shocked when OH wanted to come to the scans with our first.. The other parent of my older children never came or even asked about them..

Wish my partner could have come to my early early scan and my um early scan (6 and 9 weeks) especially with the bleeding as I was scared. But he couldn't. So that was that.

He will come to the 12 week scan I know he is very excited now it is not that long. I think it will be more real for him then.

I would never be able to keep a pregnancy from my partner for 15 weeks. A lot to do the fact my ladies have grown and he has picked up on that and I already have a little bump of something going on.

I don't know if I want to know the sex. I am not sure if my OH wants to know that I will budge or maybe I will want to know anyway. xx

I only found out today and I want to tell people lol. Told OH obviously but will wait till after the first scan for everybody else. OH bought himself a celebratory two beers and a cider for me, doh. Men......

I fear it's gonna be like the last pregnancy which was really uncomplicated and i waited for it for so long but then could only focus on things I wasn't allowed (and OH will get away with less this time, men take it differently won't count this time)

Re OHs and scans. With DS he came to all appointments and the birth (his choice, I didn't want him there, ordered him to the head end though)

    Becca, love that scan pic!

Welcome to all the new names that have appeared since I posted this morning, this thread moves fast - i'm loving it!

Faerie, you wont be the first! It's hot and you're pregnant, two pretty good excuses in my book.

Bigzippy, thanks for the advice, will bear that in mind if I get that far. Have started spotting, it's very very light but I'm fearing the worst. Feeling pretty sorry for myself right now.
