  • Hi guys, I hope this works and isn't massive! 11+1 weeks yesterday, need to go back for a scan next week as they couldn't get the NT measurement (baby lying in a bad position and also on the very early side for taking an accurate reading). Welcome to the newbies. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Lily, my EDD is now 15th January. I will move across to the other thread after my next scan, which is on Wednesday :T

Hello all, I thought I'd come and say hello.

It's nice to see some familiar names. I've been reading back a few pages to see what people talk about on this thread and already you've reassured me I'm normal. I've had such strong cramps since Tuesday that I've been worried but I see that's common. I rang my GPs and they said to call for an appointment after 6 weeks, but do they mean from my bfp or in weeks of pregnancy?

I'm 4 weeks tomorrow and FF says my EDD is 7th March. It's hard to imagine that this time next year I could be a mummy. :)

Becca - my work trousers have been tight for the last 2 days but I thought I was crazy thinking it was pregnancy related.

I've been looking at the NHS website and I can't believe I'm not allowed runny egg yolk!

Hubbie and I were going to book our holiday to France tonight but now I have my bfp i'm not sure. At 11 weeks do I want to be getting the train to Paris, to Toulon, to Antibes and then back again at the end with day trips to Monte Carlo, Nice and St Tropez? Will I be okay with the food when the French love wine, cheese, pate, pink meat and runny eggs? Would a med cruise leaving from Southampton at 13 weeks be more relaxing?

    Evening All,

Kynthia - Congratulations:j. Its always lovely to see another familiar face from the ttc thread.

    Faithhope
    - This is my first pregnancy.

Samtoby - Good Luck & have fun on your Disney trip.

Haven't been posting much because apart from finding it hard to get going in the morning I have had no symptoms at all....but today I had a little nausea - yay!:D. Does everyone else feel hot when they are nauseous or have I just eaten something that doesn't agree with me?
Also had my prebooking for the midwife, all the usual form filling, blood pressure, pee sample, blood sample and standard (awkward) weigh in. Should get the date for my 12 week scan through soon.

    9+3

Yes, I get really hot when I'm nauseous, going to have to see if I can get a fan for my desk at work!

I've been a lot better yesterday and this morning though - I think lots of sleep really helps, I've been napping! I can deal with the nausea a lot better if I'm not exhausted.

How is everyone explaining why they are sick at work? I've managed to use hay fever as a bit of a cover (which is true, I've had it pretty bad and of course I can't take antihistamines) but I feel like I'm lying and I don't like it!

Also, has anyone else had their hair go really greasy?

Kynthia I thought I was imagining it all too! But my jeans were tight after eating last night and I don't like feeling my stomach is constricted!

A lovely sunny day here off to help out at my school fayre. Have a good day all x

    Morning!
Well hubby has arranged for someone to pick up some ebay items hes sold while he toddles off to work! - not impressed, I wanted to go out and about and get things done before tiredness sets in later. oh well.

hungrykitty - my hair is also a lot greasy too! though I do go through stages where I need to wash it every day to washing it every 3 days or so. Not sure if it is pregnancy related?

Becca0417 - I am dinking for England! Cannot get enough, in two weeks I have already gone through 2 bottles of cordial which is so not like me, rather have a glass of cordial (sugar free so not too bad for us!) than a cuppa. This also means im spending more time in the bathroom!!!

well I hope this chap turns up soon so I can go out, hope you all have a good weekend x x
Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!

I bought stretchy waist pants at seven weeks and not looked back :) they were £25 which is expensive considering I'll be buying maternity stuff if 12 week scan is ok but I've worn them every day so getting my use of them lol

Having a bit of a horrible day, Rocky lied on my tummy last night which he's not done since I got pregnant so I got scared he knew it was over. Then I had a dream I was bleeding and had to go to the EPU :( although Rocky has also just made me feel better by giving my belly a little head butt, which in kitty behaviour is a nice 'I like this, this is mine' gesture so maybe everything is ok and he just plonks his fat bum where he fancies lol x
