I am sure on an internal scan they would see a sac with a blob in it (or maybe more lol) but maybe to give more reassurance they want to see a heart beat.

Can totally understand your frustration though.

yeah iv got an appointment next Thursday it's just hard thinking theres another week of not knowing if everything is okay, yeah they said they want to check for a heartbeat. here's to the longest week ever.

I have another scan Thursday too to monitor my bleeding I have had. I had a 7mm pool of blood above the baby sac which they felt where the bleeding was from. They advised me it would filter into my uterus and probably disappear but obviously there is a chance this can cause a loss. She was very reassuring and said a 2nd scan might show it has gone etc. They wanted to scan before my booking appointment with the Midwife.

That aside. I feel sick. And I am acting as a Midwife today as our incubator is holding 11 chicken eggs that are beginning to hatch. As well as a list as long as my arm that my OH has left me to get on with as its my day off.

Love him. (P.S I am too frightened to baby dance at all - esp with the bleeding - anyone else feel the same)

I was like that when I had my bleeding Sam. OH was cut off for about 2 weeks but I felt pretty 'safe' by the end of last week so we went for it.... very gently!

Big hugs Fireyfirenze, hope the next week doesn't drag too much for you. Just try to rest a lot.

I might 'try it' after the scan Thursday. I think I just need to know about this pool of blood. I know 7mm is tiny but when you know it may compromise what you have - its flipping massive.

Fireyfirenze- we can count the days together. My scan is at 6pm so I have to wait the WHOLE day too. xx

Thank you so much. Feels reassuring that other people are going through similar things too. I never imagined it to all be this worrying! I thought get pregnant wham bam have a baby. Bit naive!

Thanks samtoby let's hope it goes fast. How far are you and when did you have your first scan if you don't mind? I'm having more bleeding today it seems a bit like a period but I'm trying not to dwell on it too much. the midwife said you could bleed all the way through and it could still be okay so I'll try and keep onto that positive thing.

Sorry I feel like I'm depressing the thread, hope every else is feeling fine and not too much morning sickness going on
