Ooops wondered why there had been no recent posts. Appears that I did't notice a new thread.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Hi LillyMay hope you are doing ok. Can't remember if I congratulated you or not. I did in my head :rotfl:
EDD is 06/10/2013 so about 9 weeks at the moment, had 2 scans already and so far things seem to be going ok. I have gallstones so have been admitted to hospital 5 times already. No surgeon will touch me so trying to work out how to avoid returning to work. Can't return and then go off sick, apparently there is also a risk of miscarriage with gallstones due to infection so trying to keep calm. I am consultant lead anyway and next scan is 25/03 when I will be just over 12 weeks. Waiting for my booking appointment but then my midwife knows all my history already so no need to rush.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

AFM starting to realise why a lot of women don't realise they are preggers until 3/4 months. I just feel a bit under the weather and teary at times. I'm surprised I'm not bursting into tears at times!0 -

Congratulations on your lovely scan pigpen :-) maybe you could give OH a picture, it might be a bit more real for him then?
Good to see you here lily :-)
I've got 'pregnancy nose' today, absolutely convinced that something in my house smells weird so instead of doing any work I have cleaned EVERYTHING!!! I can still smell it though!0 -

I'm hoping to get 'nesting' soon, the house is a tip!
Pigpen, maybe he just needs time to digest the news?0 -

I had exactly the same, every time I walked into my house I was convinced there was a foul smell somewhere.
Turns out there actually was, made DH pull the fridge out and one of my felines had half killed a mouse which must have dragged itself under the fridge and died. Most unpleasant!
Pigpen glad your scan went well, hope your hubby comes round soon!0 -
Just out of interest does anybody have experiences with elective c sections?
I've had an emergency section but after a less than ideal VBac have been advised to have a section.
Do you still feel like you've been hit by a bus afterwards?0 -
No personal experience but my SIL had a planned c section 3 days after I had a natural (well forceps delivery with the threat of an emergency section) delivery. She was up and about quicker than I was. It was her 3rd though so not sure if she was just used to it.
I swear we visited her the day after my nephew was born and she was sitting up crossed legged on her bed telling the nurse she was going home. I still felt like I'd been hit by a bus!!0
