Amus I am in the same boat as you I had an emergency section last time and this time round am going for an elective section. I know that after my emergency section I didn't feel tooo bad considering, certainly not enough to put me off this option again.

Pigpen I have serious scan envy - that's a good un! How can OH fail to fall in love with little beany baby there? Show him I bet he will come round once he sees it's real.

Repetesir there are a few diabetics on here, myself included, although I'm fed up with it at the mo as my blood sugars keep swinging from high to low, all worth it in the end though. Your OH should get an early scan at 6-8 weeks and then growth scans at 24/28/32 as well as the usual scans at 12 and 20 that everyone has.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok and not too tired/sick.

Just when I thought they couldn't get any bigger, I've had another visit from the tit fairy, I now feel like I've had one of Jordan's boob jobs, gone from a B cup to a DD cup (never been above a C before not even in my last pregnancy!) OMG will they get any bigger I wonder?

Just out of interest does anybody have experiences with elective c sections?

I've had an emergency section but after a less than ideal VBac have been advised to have a section.

Do you still feel like you've been hit by a bus afterwards?

Electives get postponed if there are a lot of emergencies

you may be less bruised but other than that you are still being effectively chopped in half so you don't feel any different.

But if I am honest foof embroidery is waaaaayyyyy more painful than any kind of section!

I would never willingly go in for a section unless my health or the babys health was at risk

Me too on all of the above!

Great news pigpen, hope that OH will come round now you know for sure where you stand.

I am feeling grumpy (although trying not to).
    - I am feeling exhausted - was knackered after walking up 2 flights of stairs today (and only took the stairs as the lift was broken!).
    - I have outgrown all of my bras - even the stretchy sports bras are too small and uncomfortable,
    - and I feel soooo bloated - I reckon I look 3-4 months pregnant at the moment but I'm only 7 weeks (although not properly pregnant as it's just pushed out my fat so I look like I've suddenly put on 2 stone!). I really don't want to go into maternity clothes yet, but I'm getting to the point where nothing fits:eek:
And I'm hearing stories about miscarriages at every turn, so am feeling guilty for being grumpy:o

Is anyone else having a clothes dilemma? My winter clothes are getting a bit worn out and spring is on the way - last year's clothes all a bit too small, it's too early to buy maternity clothes but I don't want to waste money on normal clothes when I'm going to get bigger and bumpier.
I'm thinking of just pretending I'm more pregnant than I am and getting maternity clothes, really it's a fat bump that I'm dressing rather than a pregnancy bump at the mo, I want my pregnancy bump to grow now so its not all just fat!

Failing that I may just buy a few clothes on ebay, rather that than buy new and waste the money.

I've already wasted £££ on bras I bought a few weeks ago which are now pathetically small thanks to my ever-expanding bazookas!

I bought a few bits from eBay so have worn those. Did manage to pick up a few very cheap maternity bits in H&M on Saturday. This is my 5th pregnancy (this will hopefully be my 3rd earth baby) so I always show early which makes keeping it a secret, even harder!

Im having a nightmare with clothing (and only nearly 6 weeks pregnant!) This is my 3rd and I def feel fat. (Doesnt help that I didnt lose the xmas weight lol). Think I wore my favourite jeans for the last time yesterday - cant cope with them again. Itll be leggings for me - until maternity fits!

    Leggings ftw

They are all I have worn the last few weeks. I am huge and still no one noticed. I told dd1 yesterday so she is most excited.

I have a few elasticated skirts which I could wear if it wasn't so freezing lol my pjs fit so all is well. I have slinked into my maternity jeans the last week though I do need some thinner trousers for summer but being a slob I invested in yoga pants so hopefully they will suffice.

I am telling the OH today so the ground shaking will just be his wrath :(

Have you not told him yet Pigpen? I thought you had told him and he hadn't taken it well - or was that just because he knew something was up but not exactly what.

Good Luck - I bet its not as bad as you think it'll be. Or maybe it will be at first whilst he gets his head round it, but once he gets used to the idea, (and sees the scan pic of your lovely babba) he will soften.
