Maire & Angel sending you both loads of hugs and sticky vibes

@comp big hugs. When I was 7/8 weeks I sat on the end of the bed sobbing before work, as I couldn't find anything as my boobs had grown so much I could fit into any of my work clothes. My DH just looked confused :( it i think they really just dont get it. The exhaustion and sickness will pass. The emtional stuff i cant comment @16wks i had random crying fits. A good friend who recently had a baby advised me to be nice to my body and to take every opportunity to rest. Now is not the time to try to be superwoman.

glad to hear everything is ok Miffy. Sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts Marie.

AFM, I've had today off for a long weekend, and still feel shattered and just a bit 'meh'...before, the nausea slowly grew on me, so when it started I could get something to eat and it'd go away, but now it just comes from nowhere and I feel awful within the space of about 10 minutes lol.

Does anyone else get really really cold when they are pregnant? I just cannot get warm at all, and have been sleeping in a sleeping bag under my duvet! Sitting here with a cup of tea, a t-shirt, a jumper and my fleece jacket on, and still barely warm!

Here's to a quick three days at work, before my scan on Friday!!
Three days to your scan, how exciting! I've got 3 weeks to wait yet. I am feeling very cold yes- particularly my feet. They won't warm up unless I send OH to heat my microwavable slippers . Fluffy socks just aren't enough!
Thoughts and prayers are with Maire and anyone else who is worried- hope all is well x x
Hope you enjoy your scan Pigpen x
COMP I hope you feel better soon, don't apologize for having a little moan, that's what we're here for. Touch wood I'm not suffering much, sensitive to bad smells and pretty shattered especially in evening but friends of mine have had dreadful nausea so I know how debilitating it can be. Look after yourself.
Angelmommy keep those feet up and let OH spoil you x
Miffy soooo glad all is well x :)

Might it help him by actually seeing it - or is he still in a strop?!

I am thinking the words haven't registered in his head.. he hasn't mentioned it, he hasn't tried killing us on the road any more than he usually does and he is behaving in a normal manner..

And I am going on my own. My daughter is coming so she can entertain him.
Pigpen how did your scan go?

Dunno.. it is tomorrow :p ..

I am *supposed* to be 10 weeks.. so we shall see.. bets on.. more than 10 weeks and/or more than 1?? lol ...

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :) First time since my weekend away that I have managed to get on...
TTC40 - I managed a girlie weekend and managed to convince everyone I was drinking hm - think it was because they were drinking such a lot!!! I didnt make a fuss about not drinking otherwise they would have been on me straight away.
    Feeling fine - just shattered.

I do. Def not pain (have had really bad period pain since coming off the pill) but now it just feels uncomfortable from time to time. I would describe mine as mild period type discomfort.

    How old are you?

    Hi and thanks thats just how I feel ! ...I'm 41 gulp ! X

I was freezing cold throughout the first few months of my pregnancy. It's only towards the end when your baby's big enough to generate some warmth that you start getting hot not cold.

Mind you, I fell pregnant in the Autumn and gave birth in Summer, so perhaps that was the reason... :D

Sick of the morning all day and night sickness now struggling to keep anything down :( i have a trusty bowl that follows me everywhere. Im so tired and cold due to not being able to eat properly.
Nothing works ive tried every remedy seems im destined to be best friends with the toilet :D

You have my sympathy, this is how I was. I ended up in hospital with dehydration. The GP can give you an injection of anti sickness stuff to get it into your system and then the pills keep on top of it.

If you haven't pee'd in around 48 hours they tend to do more for you.
  • Still able to drink just not lots and only water. Rice cakes tend to stay down but very little else. Am still eating little and often just then suffer terrible sickness im 10+3 today so hoping not much longer left of it.
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Hopefully it passes for you. I'm around the 12 week mark now (will be confirmed tomorrow) and I'm still being sick :(.

I think my work think I'm taking the mick but unfortunately pregnancies don't go by the text book rules. I'm just glad its a protected absence, one less worry.
