So fab to see you over here! Congrats Amy. Have seen your pic on the ttc thread. Have you done a digi? X
Nope, I did an IC and one of the Clearblue ones I was supposed to do pre-trial... guess I won't be on the trial after all :rotfl: They both showed pretty much immediately and are really dark so I'm excited. Oh, and I *think* I know the night the magic happened - turns out we're having a Whitby baby after allMaybe s/he'll be a little goth
DH isn't home from work yet so I'm going to have a bit of a spruce up and consider cooking him something nice before sharing the news. I haven't quite decided how to do it yet - any ideas?0 -
Haha I was on the trial too. I had to ring them to say 'don't bother sending the monitor!'. They were lovely about it. I really am so chuffed for you
Afm, I went to be drained of blood this morning. The hospital haven't received my paper work so can't book my scan yet. I reckon it's only 3 weeks away.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
So sorry to hear your news credit crunch
Hope to see you back on here soon. Take care xxx
Flower - What a scary time for you!! I would have been petrified tooSuch good news that they could see the heartbeat tho. Will keep my fingers crossed for Monday for you
I'm having a bit of a rubbish patch of luck at the moDD had a bad accident on fri night and jumped into a metal pole whilst watching a football match. She was checked over at hospital as a tom n jerry style bump came out in seconds. Thankfully she's ok, but the swelling has dropped to her nose and eyes, and she now has 2 very black eyes, a cut on her nose, and a bump on her head which is bruised and cut. She has been so brave, am so very proud of her...
Yesterday when I'd finished the shopping, I could hear a dripping in the kitchen. Investigated and the washing machine has sprung a leak - not sure how as it hadn't been on for at least 24 hours, but there was a pool of water and it was still dripping out. Had to turn the stop clock off as didn't know how to isolate the washing machine.
Then DH rang to say he had broken down about 20 mins away. A pipe had popped off his car, so could I go down with water to refill the system while he re-fitted the pipe (its happened once before on the other side of town so we were hopeful to fix it). I was just about to make tea, so me and DD set off to the rescue (after having to turn the stop clock back on - more flooding - and off again) with loads of water. When we got there, it didn't workEngine then wouldn't turn over. Rang RAC, and waited... And waited... Didn't want to leave DH as he was v down, and my phone was flat so he couldn't get in touch to let me know what was happening either. 1.5 hours later, RAC comes, but would only tow 10 miles under the policy he had (we were 23 miles away) so had to pay £110 to recover us the rest of the way
 My brother has a garage that I work at, and hes looked at it and its going to be a v expensive repair, most probably a new engine
:( When we got back last night we hadn't eaten tea, DD was in her uniform, and I went for a pizza at 10pm nearly. Am sure everyone must have thought I was an awful mum, especially with her bruised and swollen face! Shes always in bed for 8pm on a school night after having tea at a normal time
So hopefully that's it for bad luck now. Am a bit fed up if I'm honest! I was only saying yesterday to my friend that things were going well money wise (finally!) so its my own fault for jinxing ourselves as yesterdays events will all prove v expensive I think
But at least I heard the heartbeat still this morning, and found it straight away. Its so comforting to hear it. Only 2 weeks to go til the scan. :j
Yeah but Abis, you're preggers!!!! :j:j:j:j:j
Obviously I did already know this I'm just doing a quick lurk on all my ladies:eek::rotfl:

More bleeding here, although no where near as much. Must stay positive, must stay positive....Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Some good ideas on here! I see I'm going to have to get creative
Thinking of you Flower, I hope the slower bleeding is a positive sign :grouphug:0 -
Lol courgette - you do make me laugh!!! I am indeed pregnant :j:j So loving the doppler and hearing the heartbeat. Altho I am only using it once a day at most, first thing in a morning so I don't become too obsessed. I was a little worried what with the stress from yesterday, but found the heartbeat in about a minute this morning (fastest I have found it by a long way!).
How you doing courgette? - I saw you are having a boy - congratulations :T How long have you got left now?
Things are going ok so far. DH working from home and looked at washing machine on his lunch. Its a plastic connector thats snapped. He tried to bodge it without the part, didn't work. He is going to B&Q when he finishes as they should have a part for 99p that will do the job, but if that doesn't work there is the whole mechanism for sale on ebay for 20 quid. So hopefully not a full washing machine needed (crosses fingers)
The cylinder head is off the car and may possibly be ok - altho it will probs need testing and skimming which my brother can't do. Will find out more info tomorrow on that one hopefully.
Feeling a bit brighter, and of course this is helped by not feeling so sickly today as wellDD had a bump to her bumped head at school today tho, so had to dash out and give her some calpol and a cuddle. She was fine by the time I got there tho. I really do think she should be wrapped in bubble wrap from now on tho!!!
Amy - I have no idea, I'm sure I would just blurt it out straight away. In fact, thats what I have always done - but there again DH has always been here when I have tested. I think I would have rung him if he hadn't been - but I am useless at keeping things like that to myself :rotfl: It was a lovely strong line. Do you know when you ov'd? Bet you are so giddy waiting for him to come home
Vic - hope they have you booked in for your scan soon. I gave my blood at the booking in appt.Married my lobster in July 2011

I'm under my local hospital, which oddly isn't the local hospital for my doctors surgery, despite it having the same postcode! The hospital have to do my bloods as they aren't the same ones done by my surgery for some silly reason!DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0
