Fingers crossed for you. Is it light or heavy? Red or brown?

Thanks Vic! It was quite light, red, but fortunately we got the all clear yesterday. We had a scan, and could see the heartbeat (Just the one, so definitely no twins!). Big relief, although more so for OH as she is a worrier. They dated her at 7 weeks 1 day, which is about spot on with what we've worked it as.

First time ever we've had a scan so early and I was amazed at how easy it was to spot the heartbeat. It really is amazing

I did this several times with DD1.. she is now nearly 19.. I was in hospital for a night or 2 at least once a month, I spent my wedding night in hospital!!! She has been trouble ever since!

Thank you for the reassurance, can I ask was it heavy bleeding you had? Sorry if this is TMI but it was at the point it was gushing out straight through the pad, knickers, trousers and onto floor :(
Im trying to cling onto the fact that the scan showed everything to be fine, but in my head I cant see how someone can bleed so much and still go on to have a healthy pregnancy. OH keeps insisting that we have every reason to be positive after seeing the heartbeat.

Keep your chin up and be positive. Like you said, the scan showed everything was fine so just try your best to be positive. Hopefully next weeks scan will put your mind right at ease

Yep... turned out I had an extra lobe on my placenta which kept separating from the uterine wall.. I also had it at 8, 10 and 14 weeks with DS2 when I miscarried his twin.

Flower I didn't mean to frighten you sorry
I was bleeding very heavily & at one stage they talked about a transfusion. I was on a drip etc too.
I had 2 scans ( one internal) & nothing showed up, plus my hormone level dropped from 2000 to 700 odd.
    It just wasn't my turn.
Yours sounds like a different story & I wish you all the luck in the world.
I really am sorry if I have caused you worry xx
