"Am I being over the top or should I complain about this"
1. Yes
2. No
The "trolley boys" would be disciplined if they allowed customers to have trolleys without "paying" the deposit. Customer services have got tokens that you can buy (for £1 - with some of that £1 going to charities) so that you can keep that to ensure that you can get a trolley at any of the stores that use the £1 trolleys.
Pregnancy does not devoid you of a brain that prepares you to go shopping (you take your purse/credit card, car/bags etc) - so it is no excuse!
Why does everybody keep bringing pregnancy up as if im using it as an excuse? as i only brought it up to explain why i wasnt happy carrying all the things i needed.
I think il just do online shopping i clearly expect too much from people getting paid to do their job with 'customer service' written above their heads. Never mind at east i wouldn't lower myself to treat others like that. Some people make genuine mistakes forgetting cash, shouldnt mean they cant do their shopping.
I do think I did maybe over exaggerate but if i leave a shop unhappy when it comes to customer service then id rather not go back.0 -

Anyone that has got 2 GCSE's to rub together wouldn't choose work facing arrogant and annoying shopping gimboidz all day, as their first choice.
It's shoppers that make staff not care. Customers they are rude, over expecting and arrogant. This causes high turnover and then leads to repetitive training for new starters who will leave ASAP anyway. Low salary doesn't help, all the staff want to do is do the minimum required and go home - and I respect that.
There is a certain amount of common sense required by the public.
Get to the shops --> buy bread ---> pay for bread ---> go home
If customer service is part of your job, then suck it up and deal with it. Welcome to working for a living. It's not that great and sometimes you'll dislike it.
It's a massive part of mine, so I deal with my customers politely then pull my face later.
She was only trying to buy bread, pay for bread and go home; paying for the trolley caused the issue...0 -
Don't forget to leave the trolley behind.0

I love a 'good' snark on a forum, me.
You know, when they're clearly damaged, maybe a pregnant woman has stolen a trolley from them before or maybe they just have nothing better to do because they're naturally obnoxious.
It is a customer service issue. Not even being directed to a cashpoint and offered a trolley token or change at customer services is appalling customer service, whether she was pregnant or not. Fact.0
