At the end of the day. It's so you don't nick the trolley.

You say you are pregnant but for all Asda know you have a Tesco trolley up your jumper and you are collecting them.

    Tip of the day.
When you get your trolley home turn it upside down - it makes a cheap bbq.

    Turn your car around.

I am not for one minute saying i should receive special attention because im pregnant but i don't think i should be carrying an overflowing basket around with me. It wasn't that i didn't have the correct change if this was the case i would simply have asked the lady if i could change money ( although judging by her response i would have probably got a no) it was the fact i only had a bank card and we have already established the fact i should have gone to the cash mahine but like i said this didnt cross my mind.

I'm still struggling to see why you are going to complain to Asda about the fact that you had a bank card which you forgot to use in their cash machine to enable you to get a trolley to go shopping with. I can imagine their head office having a good chuckle over that one.

No?? its because 2 of their staff were fairly rude to me and had no customer service skills? As others have said they could have offered me a coin thing or even pointed me in the direction of the cash machine.

I keep £10 in my car in case I forget my wallet and need some money mainly for fuel or work but also if going out.

If I used a shops that needed £1/tokens(some of them do but don't use them often) I would have a few in the car.

Keep a couple of £1 where you keep the car keys remember to pick them up next time you go shopping

If they were rude to you then I could understand your complaint but from what I have read in this thread you wanted to moan about not being offered a trolley.
  • Shop at sainsburys, they never fail to help, and when they see me coming with 2 children they automatically go and get me a trolley without me having to search in my bag with a baby on my hip and child in tow for my purse!

Or shop at my Asda, they dont have the £1 thing on a trolley, they are there for the taking. Maybe we live in a posh area ;)

Have you tried looking at this from their point of view?
Lets play devil's advocate here: you are an underpaid and undervalued retail worker, probably treated like a servant by customers and managers when along comes another customer who has managed to leave her brain at home....

I'm trying not to be rude but I can't help but to be blunt, there are people with real problems out there.

    1. Yes

    2. No

The "trolley boys" would be disciplined if they allowed customers to have trolleys without "paying" the deposit. Customer services have got tokens that you can buy (for £1 - with some of that £1 going to charities) so that you can keep that to ensure that you can get a trolley at any of the stores that use the £1 trolleys.

Pregnancy does not devoid you of a brain that prepares you to go shopping (you take your purse/credit card, car/bags etc) - so it is no excuse!
