  • I don't really see you should get special treatment just because you're pregnant unless having a bun in the oven affects your ability to use a cash machine and checkout?

If you don't have the right change then you go get some, it's as simple as that really.

That would mean having to go to a cash machine, buying a few things, queuing , going to get a trolley, shopping, queuing again. I guess i could have done this but actually didnt think of it at the time. (cash machines are at opposite end)

I really didnt think shopping had to be as difficult as that to be honest.

its not difficult - it just means you check to see if you have a £1 coin or a trolley token on you before you head off for your big shop. As more and more supermarkets have trolleys where you need a token or a coin, it makes sense to sort that out before you go. You'll know for next time eh?

This makes me laugh, its the only shop where i am that requires money to shop so no i dont think i did it incorrectly at all. Maybe i am being over the top complaining but i hardly think im shopping incorrectly?

Sorry this made me chuckle as you said you left without shopping, so it would suggest that you were shopping incorrectly. I realise it would have been annoying but for some reason this tickled me. :rotfl:

I don't shop in Asda, and never use a trolley in Aldi and Sainsburys doesn't do the annoying coin thing.

Hope you manage to get your shopping

  • Don't shop in Asda again, that's the only way they learn.

  • I think the folk whi are saying its not ASDAs fault are the problem! All stores have a key to unlock them as they move them about all the time. I have forgetten my pound Asda-gave me a pound , sainsburys-free charity token, Morrissons plastic disc, Tesco-unlock you a trolley. I'd say it is one crappy Asda that didnt get a pregnant women a trolley. I'd have stood my ground until they got one for me.

You assume everyone has a keyring - I've used these in the past - but if I don't have my house keys with me that plan falls down.

i've got 3 trolley discs, 2 are on my bag and one is on my car keys. They have definitely come in handy over the years.
  • At the end of the day. It's so you don't nick the trolley.

You say you are pregnant but for all Asda know you have a Tesco trolley up your jumper and you are collecting them.

    Tip of the day.
When you get your trolley home turn it upside down - it makes a cheap bbq.

The Sainsburys near me does! Maybe it depends on the area and how likely the trolleys are to get nicked!
