Morning all!
Completely legit, I promise! Although last night didn't go as well as the previous round, some changes had been made which made the end desired result impossible, but I think they saw that. I wish I could just blinking well tell you all what was going on! But nay mind, it'll all come out soon enough, and we've still got Friday to look forward too, another £100 minus travel cards. Anyone know if travel cards on Friday will be peak or off peak as it's bank holidays?
Also, I've had a problem with something I got for Mr for Christmas. It developed a fault very quickly and has been sent back to the 'shop', who are trying to fob me off saying they have ceased trading (yet you can still buy from their website) and they can't do anything so will send it back. I've just told them they need to repair, replace or refund and they are 'looking into it'. But I might need to call upon you lot for some proper wording and backing on what my consumer rights are.Really gutted as the present was to the tune of £200! Bad times.....
But good times, it's nearly payday :j:j
Food budgets are good, and we're set for the rest of the month
SFD's are bad. Lost count, AGAIN! Slap my wrist and send me to the naughty step.
And tomorrow I'll do my monthly howmuchhavewepaidoffthismonth totals. Exciting times!0 -

New Game Show on Tv?..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Morning all!
Thanks for all the well-wishes for mum. Unfortunately for mum she has my dad looking after her who is, at best, a terrible and fussy worrier in a crisis. I have visions of her knocking him out with her pot just to stop him fussing over her :rotfl: She is also a terrible patient who doesn't like to be fussed over and won't take it easy.
I'm beginning to think Mayfair is on some tv quiz show. Have they brought back Going For Gold? Does anyone else remember that show, or am I showing my age? They had contestants on from all over Europe and even though a contestant might lose a round one day and be "sent home", they were back the next episode to try again...and again..and again. I think they got about 5 chances.
Hoping for a SFD but I'm going to my friend's for a craft night tonight to make some birthday cards and I'm tempted by a trip to the Range at lunchtime to pick up some inspiration...0 -
Going for going for gold! With Ian Kelly. Am i showing my age too?

Just checking in.
Couple of spends today. Invested in a new VERY THICK quilt as cannot cope with my summer quilt anymore. It is absolutely freezing!
£8.99 very well spent there.
Also spent just under £16 posting some auction items. Postage is just so expensive these days, wondering if it will be worth it to keep listing things when the new postage charges come in... and, typically, after waiting for days for some sellers to pay I come home and someone else has finally paid. So another trip to the post office in the snow is now needed. Oh the joys....
Keep warm everyone!0 -

I was thinking the same thing the other day! I am desperate to get rid of all larger items that are ebay-able so I can move with minimal boxes. I don't think I want to have to bother with eBay when I move and will concentrate on sitting in my warm house, in front of SKY I am not paying for and doing a multitude of surveys!
Well done on the quilt purchase though - mine is already double, with a massive heavy blanket on top and a fluffy one on top of that. Puddy-tat climbs in sometimes...:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
