His missus - hope your mum heals soon

Just checking in to report SFD today - been good and de cluttering as well as playing with dd2 (usually just play). Have been on the old style board quite a bit too - mostly friendly ones there as well as here. Sometimes I see posts on threads that are really not nice and it makes me hide. Puts me off starting threads as well as commenting! Delicate soul that I am!

Anyway you are all nice, so keep marching!

Oh my word - that time already! I think I will get my thinking cap on tonight... I was going to take a months break but I get the feeling that won't go down well with you barbarians...:rotfl:

Oh please no break!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We NEEEEEEEEDDDDD you!!!!!!!! Know you are so unbelievably busy but you are the one and only Kat!!!!

Can't decide whether I need to be sent to the naughty step for spending AGAIN or whether I have done some fab LONG-TERM money saving. Since hubby has now set up as self-employed, realised we could now get a wholesalers card for Macro. Went today and spent almost £100 but LONG-TERM saved sooooooooo much on what I would usually pay in the supermarket. Only bought things I usually get anyway but at wholesale prices in bulk. 12 tube of our usual toothpase (which are usually just over £1) for £6, 10kg frozen chicken breasts (equivalent weight in Tesco over £100) for £26 plus various other things. Have now completely blown months budgets but should really see benefits in coming months as we try to eat and clean our way through our bulk purchases!!! Think I might have to put the four children's beds on stilts to provide extra storage space for the loo rolls, handwash and washing powder!!

On another note - I am so jealous of your amazing yellow sticker purchases - I can never find them that cheap - what am I doing wrong!?!?!?!?!?! Punnets of fruit for under 20p etc... ????? They are hiding from me!!!!

Anyway - 3 days left till break up for Easter hols and just can't wait to spend some time with the kiddies (and hubby of course!). Counting the hours now!!!!

  • Sadly had to have a small spend today so that means I can't meet ye SFD target for March. Still within budget though, so not too disappointed. Will update totals later.
Kat I know you are mega busy but I think our resolve might waver if we don't have your all-seeing eyes watching us in April. X

Yikes his missus, that sounds awful :( Hope your mum (and you) feels better soon...more hugs heading your way.

Well, after me declaring a SFD earlier, eh I went out and spent :o Not much, just £1.20 on a tube of garlic paste. I batch cooked a load more soup and chilli and my freezer is now jam packed full!!! It's a good thing as it means I have enough meals to see me through for the next few weeks (although, I may make some more soup as soon as there's space). I took the money from my misc purse (as I only have 81p left in my food budget) so technically I've gone over on my food budget but I won't tell kat if you don't :shhh:

I have my only shift of the fortnight tomorrow night so tomorrow'll be a SFD as I'll probably only venture out in the evening when it's time to go to work. That gives me plenty scope for de-cluttering...why does it always take so long???

So, with today's little spend, my MFF totals look like...
    SFD = 18
    Food Spends = £49.19/£50
    Petrol Spends = £50/£50
    Misc Spends = £85.30/£100
    Money made = £168.44/£100
  • Morning all. Well its the day before my payday, i have done badly with my sfd's this month i have been poorly disciplined but i have money left in my bank account (despite us being on halfwage due to oh's illness) and i have opened an isa for my emergency fund. So all things considered its a blooming miracle. Thanks to NSK's challenges and all you guys providing support.

    Happy days. L2B.x

    Hello,

Sunday to today were/are NSDs taking me up to 18. So I won't quite make my target, but nearly if I try.

After I replied to the ebayer that wasn't happy with my item and wanted money back, nicely explaining sorry but no etc. He didn't answer but left me positive feedback :T. I guess he can try, eh.

Not sure when I get paid but I guess Thursday as Friday is a bank holiday just need to be able to leave it alone till Monday ;)

  • Well now good Morning Chickadees!!!

I think my weekend antics at work are catching up with me and I might be asleep under my desk by lunch time. Another run of the same sort this weekend so need to suck it up!

Spent yesterday being fed by a "man" friend. He was acting a bit odd but I only endured it for two hours. Regaled me with what he thought was a very funny a story of his sister winning money, blowing it all, and currently being £14,000 in debt. She is 24. I didn't laugh with him. Another feed tonight by Geordie Boy who has re-surfaced. This should be interesting!

Siousxie - I am reaching my food buget total so I shan't say a word. But it's good that we are close to the end of the month and have survived thus far. More decluttering on the list for me this month. some items ending on eBay and if the large rucksack doesn't go I am sending him to the local charity shop with some more books. I love it now!

BeckyBoo - If I had the space I would do exactly the same as what you are doing. There is more sense in bulk purchasing, especially if you can pitch up there with a friend - split the cost, split the goods. You seem well stocked - but for other items do you use Approved Foods. This cannot be over-looked so if you haven't used them before you should start! I got 18 rolls of loo roll for £2.99 once. Fantastic quality as well!
Anyway... you are forgiven..:rotfl:..yellow sticker in my local Tesco Express was at 2130 on Saturday night. It's a snobby area so not many people will pick them up! Try late at night if you can.. in your pyjamas...:rotfl:

Angelpye - I know how you feel about some posts. It can be daunting putting up your own thread, but warn us should you want to put something up - my sharp tongue and wit will be at your beck and call should some numpty try and have a go! :T...#alwaysprotectingmychickadees

    - don't worry. I amno-where near the SFD count required for May. Grr!

His_Missus - how is Mummy doing? It worries me what would happen to my Mumsy or Pa since I am over here, my brother works full time etc ..always a worry when you are not in the same country as them. I really hope she is okay though!!

NannyG - How was dinner? Not a fan of gnocchi myself... wondered how you got along! Well done you for keeping the heating low. There was a brillint couple in the Daily Snail recently about a coupl that refused to put there heating on for years. If we all did that for a week there is bound to have a power station shut down somewhere...hmmmmm **rubs chinny chin chin with devious plan manifesting**...

    - thats 19 days of SFD in a row yes? Or just nothing bar food?? I am the 5th by the way...:T:T:T
It's all legit, clothes stay on I promise :D

Glad to hear it young lady!!

Right off to think about April and how on earth I am going to construct this!!

  • I just bought a TasteCard. Very naughty @ £30. But two for one cinema offer for a year also. It means a possible half price lunch today, and for when my brother comes over. I am loathed to pay these places more money than I have too. It will work out cost effective for the year I guarantee it!
