Mayfair, how intriguing, hope it works out for you whatever it is!!!
Feeling tired and a bit fed up today. Not been an easy week for various reasons which I wont bore you with. I havent done brilliantly with my spending either but its not too disastrous and the weekend should be a cheap one!
I am supposed to be going for a run tonight and it would probably do me good but dont know if I can be bothered!!!
Ah well will hopefully check in tomorrow in a better frame of mind.0 -

Hello all!
Just a quick check in. SFD today unless I succumb to a bottle of wine on the way home.. I must not succumb, I must not..!
I know we're not counting vouchers as cold, hard cash but I've just earned a £5 b00ts voucher for a survey about lipstick colours
Shopping list all ready for tomorrow morning. Hoping to spend £40 leaving me with £10 for top-up shopping during the week.0 -
Evening all - its dreary and miserable here - I'm just not going anywhere now that I am home!
Today was SFD number 8 - but I am really scraping the veg barral now and will go shopping tomorrow.
Mancman - I love that you've reached an amicable solution with Kat - we can't have dissent in the ranks now can we?
Kat - good luck with the house viewing - positive vibes coming your way x

Hi All...
Sorry for my absence the last day or so... Wednesday was a bit of a non-starter day - I was going to be 'productive' but instead had a lovely chilled out rest day and recharged.
Was a bit miffed as had ordered a couple of books on offer and they arrived - both damaged!!! I've now had to use up all my stamps to send them back. Annoying when places advertise something as 'new' and they turn up with their covers ripped!!! GRRR  That's me after 2 books - I'd be blazing had I had that damaged dress for £155... erm... not that I'd have bought a dress... but you know what I mean. At least now NSK you have a year to hunt out some amazing quality bargains that you can resell and make an *even BIGGER* profit on!!! It could be a blessing in disguise...
Thanks for the cooking tip Purplejay... Will retry potato, cheese and onion bake minus milk... Was worried it would dry out I think...
What else have I missed... cow-talk... (I can milk a goat you know!!! One of my totally useless life skills!!!)...
Lodger from hell... Calling - I really feel for you... Living with the wrong person is not good - Sending you lots of good vibes - hopefully the next one will be great!!!...
Fantastic news that the great big money pot in the sky is spilling some riches into our lives... Great news on the compensation Mancman, and well done for the self-control... Good look Mayfair - hope your windfall works out - how amazing would that be!!! On my own front I am really grateful to have landed some secure overtime at work over the next few months - it feels like fate is smiling on us in one way or another
Kat - really hope this turns out to be THE house for you!!! Once you're settled I am sure you'll feel even more inspired and motivated... Let us know how it goes!
Am up to SFD number 4
Alas today I left my lunch at home and so had lunch at the canteen!!! Planning some cooking over the weekend so should be able to score a few more SFDs.That said - there are SOOOOOoooo many films I want to see at the cinema... Can I go - pleeeeease - can I???? I really want to see 'The Great and Powerful Oz' - it looks amazing!!!
Have a great evening everyone!!!

Really disappointed with myself over the last couple of days after starting so well but learnt valuable lessons. Namely that drinking and then going on the internet is not good. Things magically get bought...
Sigh. But recognising where things are going wrong is a good start and I shall be spending this weekend re-looking at budgets, hoping people bid on my current eBay items (lots of watchers, which is lovely, but bloomin bid lol) and listing loads more. Free listing weekend. Whoo hoooo!
Next week WILL be better! x0 -
Ahhhhh free listing weekend - really? Fab, aiming to list, list, list! Everything washed so ironing and pics tonight. Must dig out other things. What would people list a branded wetsuit for teenager/petite female for? Cost me £80 in sale and worn/ used for two short holidays - in excellent condition? Have no idea how much to start things at or for how long to list. Would appreciate tips and experience.
Have lots of baby and toddler equipment, toys and clothes but have no idea so have been putting it off.
Loving the support you guys give each other and agree lodger goes, £300 on credit card and if the employer doesn't see your worth they are not for you! Keep it up
NSD 4? Definitely a record for me!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Evening all! I feel strange being on here at this time of day! Kat - how did it go? I'm itching to find out!!!
Whilst I'm here i'll share tonights din dins which is in the oven as we speak, cheap and a fave in our house!
Chicken - or not
Bacon - or not
Pie
Oil in the pan, cook chicken and bacon for about 3 mins
add chopped onion (frozen), mushroom (frozen), small pot of creme fraiche, 2 tsp mustanrd powder, 1 tblspn plain flour, salt & pepper and a chicken stock cube. Give it a stir. If you're not using frozen veg add a bit of water.
When the chicken is cooked through stick it in a dish with a sheet off puff pastry over it. Bung it in the oven.
Cook.
Yums.
It's HUGE tonight! Pretty cheap and yummy dinner with plenty of left overs for a few lunches!
What's everyone else got?0 -
Yes angelpye, it is free listing for up to 100 items when you list them for £1 or more
What an ideal opportunity to declutter! Have been going around my flat tonight bagging everything up. If I don't use it or if I don't wear it it is getting listed on eBay!0
