Morocha- he's coming up to 9 weeks. We've had 8-9 hour nights all week.

I guess you've tried all manner of things already? Hopefully she'll grow out of it quickly.

    How's everything else going? :) x

So jealous too bamama!!! She usually does a first chunk of 3h 30 min to 4h if I'm lucky, then another of 2h and a half, and another similar. Last night we managed 5h and a bit first and 2 chunks of 3h, and I thought it was awesome. Those who said formula fed babies sleep for longer have not met this one lol.

I'm just very lucky. I think he's in a growth spurt... he's been asleep for 2 hours and is still asleep. It's so unlike him.

    Oh he's woken. Boob time.

Weaning is going great Nutella, I'm loving it! The first couple of times I tried him on baby rice and that wasn't so good. He pulled a really disgusted face and wouldn't open his mouth for the spoon. So then I tried some fruit purees and we haven't looked back. So far he's had apple, pear and strawberry on their own and mixed with baby rice and he's enjoyed them all. He had the strawberry today and he kept asking for more. He also likes to grab the spoon and feed himself so even though we're not really doing baby-led weaning it's ending up pretty messy! He is actually eating it though which surprised me as I thought there would be ages of him just pushing it back out of his mouth before he learnt to swallow. Tomorrow we're going to try a bit of veg, maybe carrot puree and a few sticks of steamed carrot for him to play with too :-)

That's great Elelyn :D On the vegetable front, sweet potato, carrot, parsnip and butternut squash were favourites from Day 1 here, and like Theo she didn't like baby rice - and who can blame them, it really does take bland to another level! It's good for thickening runny purees though.

It doesn't appear that anyone has missed me.

I haven't read back far but it looks like I wouldn't have been very useful. I'm running out of things to moan about myself. Have been out and about with some mums I've met, 2-3 times a week. All their children seem to just stare at me... must be something about my face?

Sorry if I've missed any newbies *waves*

I was just thinking about you and Dewi this morning!

Woke up to loads of evil snow this morning. Praying it disappears over night. Fate been stuck in the house.

How much snow has everyone else had?

I looked at the baby rice and thought, I really don't want to try that. If I won't eat it myself, how can I expect little man to? So no more plain and nasty baby rice! The Cow & Gate weaning guide I've got suggests avocado as a good first stage food. Neither me nor DH have ever had it so we're all going to try it when I get round to buying some.

No snow here thank goodness. Don't fancy being stuck indoors for days like last time.

Hi hope everybody is well. I am just dropping in to let anybody who may be interested know that the Disney Store are currently selling 5 board books for £5.00, they are usually £2.99 each so well worth stocking up on if they would be any use to you in the future. :D
