The Cow & Gate weaning guide I've got suggests avocado as a good first stage food. Neither me nor DH have ever had it so we're all going to try it when I get round to buying some.
My LO loves avocado, and it's really good for youI love it too, although for me I would add a sprinkle of salt, or even better, make guacamole with it. Or have it on a bagel with cream cheese and sliced tomato - yum, yum, now I want avocado
Make sure you get one that's a bit soft though - unripe avocado is absolutely impossible to mash!

Sunshine, that's fab re. sleep - long may it continue! I look forward to seeing your cake pic
LO and I had a lovely and cuddly nap together today - we used to have one every day whilst I was on maternity leave, but it's now a weekend treatWe slept for three and a half hours! I was shocked when I woke up and saw what time it was! I guess this is what happens when you start your day at 4.30am...
No snow here, unless you count the odd white flake that is visible whilst in the air but disappears the moment it hits the ground.
Just cleaned the bathroom, toilet and kitchen - time for dinner.0 -

Finley has just been impressively sick down my back. He managed to not get a drop on himself but soak me to the extent I even had to take my knickers off. He then demanded the boob again and is now asleep0

I want to know why someone at WeightWatchers thought it would be a good idea to have 5 pieces of cake in a pack  You can't have just one piece as they're tiny, so you need two. Which means you're left with three for next time. And that's 240 calories. Which means you might as well eat a full fat normal chocolate bar.0

Tazzy, at the sick! At least he had the decency to fall asleep afterwards so you could get a break and a wash0

True, he seems totally fine. Did a massive burp that brought on a fountain of sick. He even managed to get 3 of the cushions on the sofa. Suppose it will not be the last time. Bless hubby, he brought me a tea towel to clean it up, I was like we are way past that we need the hose pipe.0 -
Just checking in before I go to bed.
Bless him Tazzy, they know how to get you that's for sureHope you got cleaned up ok.
Yay for weaning Elelyn, it's so exciting to start with. Meal times stress me out at the moment as he isn't eat much at all, don't know where he gets all his energy from as it sure ain't food! But he's healthy and happy so I won't stress, and still seems capable of eating biscuits...
*waves* to all the people trying to keep up Silly Moo, Bamama and Delain(apologies if I missed anyone out, I can still use baby brain as a valid excuse can't I? )
My baby is a right misery at the moment, if he's awake he's whinging, and whining and wailing, not much fun in this house atmluckily his sleep is still good so I'm not really sure what the problem is. Tomorrow is another day
Fingers crossed for good nights for everyone xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Bamama I did query your whereabouts a few days ago glad ur ok
We had 5.5 hours then feed, 4 hours then feed abs then it was morning! Convinced the midday bottle helped, trying it again tonight ! Felt like punching the HV when she suggested this ones feeding pattern was a growth spurt, she says it every week!! She has been on a 9 week growth spurt I think!!
Having a bit tearful moment about having to go back to work! Time is flying it'll soon be August! Getting zero sympathy from husband who had been back at work since she was two weeks old!
Morocha - is gripe water helPing jade at all?0 -
Hi ladies
I blame Gilly for setting up a fb group. It's so much easier to use... especially on my phone.
Sunshine, how's your little guy been?
Moneypenny, I'm with you on the work thing. I thought nine months would be ages but it's going too quick already.0
