Hey BabaMoose! How are you getting on with baby Jack? Hope all is good. Can't believe little dude is 26 days old - feels like I've cuddled him for months yet it also feels like yesterday that we were waiting for our inductions! Xx

Hiii! All good at this end ta, another swimming lesson tomorrow - he loves the water :)

Joshua is so smiley!! Love the outfit. Jack hasn't quite mastered the smiles yet unless he is sleeping, feeding or has wind... or maybe he has and those are his three favourite activities :D

26 days, eep. Every now and then he looks really grown up and so big when I look at him... Then when my OH holds him he looks tiny again! Soon to be one whole month old, I think it's flown by but ikwym about feeling like it's been months, can't really picture him not being here now :)

Thank you all. All the family will love a little picture of him - win win!

Vic - ooh we love a good birth. 9hrs is not too bad, is Thomas your first? Hope you heal very quickly. I think it took my insides a good 2wks to heal from the bruising as Joshua was back to back but I'm ok now - I just felt a bit frustrated that I couldn't walk as much as I could after the girls. We're doing ok - ebf much better than I had imagined once I got over the first couple weeks. Joshua will cluster feed all evening then wake around 3:30 and again at 7ish, so not too bad. Does Thomas have any kind of pattern as yet? Joshua has managed to pee on me 5 times - each time I'm shocked lol. I'm so not used to boys! I do love the bones of him though and he has a special big smile he gives mommy. :j xx

Hi chick, Thomas is my first so I feel very lucky to have had the labour and birth that I did. I got on the gas and air at 9cm dialated but they took it off me and put me on a drip to deliver as my contractions slowed and Thomas' heart rate slowed. I know what you mean about the bruising!!! I'm glad you're doing better now.
I'm writing everything down and Thomas is feeding every three hours at the moment. He hasn't caught me with a number one yet as I always cover him up with a piece of tissue. He has caught grandma though! He hates being changed; cue lots of adorable crying!

I totally agree with you both; I can't believe he is here and how I managed to grow someone so perfect. Love him soooo much.

I really can't get over the amazing support network in place for new mums. We have seen someone everyday for support with breast feeding.

One thing I do want to ask you lovely ladies- is it normal for baby to want multiple feeds? I've fed him 3 times in 4 hours for half an hour each time.

Pretty much anything is normal when it comes to breastfeeding. Does he feed like this at a particular time of day? Multiple feeds (cluster feeding) is very common during the afternoon/evening. How old is he? He could be having a growth spurt. They go bonkers for boob when they're having a spurt. Exhausting!

IHateDida, here's one especially for your LO, who seems to have similar taste in music to my little lady: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC_hF31z130 It's my LO's current favourite :)

ETA: But beware, you *will* end up singing it for the rest of the day.

Hope you're feeling better today x

Just last night. He was very unsettled. We've just had a strange green stained nappy too.

  • thanks for the travel cot reccomendations. I got a red kite travel cot from Asda for only 20.02 cos some baby items are 20% now.

LO has a snotty nose so I'm gonna try and keep him in to stop it becoming a full blown cold.

Angelmommy that's an unbelievably cute Christmas card pic complete with a gorgeous smile!

Vic3 clusterfeeding is common. Is the green a bit of meconium mixed with normal poo?

Nutella thanks for the code - I want to get some socks for LO from gap cos they stay on really well and gap also do stylish nursing tops.

Babamoose I'm the same. when I look at my baby all day I get used to him, then OH picks him up and he looks tiny!

  • Grrr OH is acting like he's done me a massive favour by clearing the breakfast things whilst I cleaned and dressed LO. Because he needs "a break" he's now sat with his feet up; he's been out at work all week!!! Definitely need strength not to bite his head off with that attitude!!!

if you're unsure, it's always best to ring nhs direct who will advise you to see an out-of-hours doctor if your need to.
