Sorry LO is poorly. Doctors will be able to put your mind at ease though if its just a viral thing or if hes picked up a bit of a bug. And hope you are okay too, being poorly and a mum is not much fun at all!! :(

  • Morning ladies,

Congrats Vic on your little one :)

Hope you got something sorted birthday wise claree

Hope you both get better minimuffin

I have woken up with such a sore throat, today is going to be so hard. I'm at my normal job 6:30-8:30 then my old job 9:00 - whatever time I finish. Not looking forward to it at all :( first time back at old job and really not looking forward to it. But suppose I'm only there one day a week!

Anyway. Hope you all have a great Friday :)
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • congratulations vic3 on the birth of your baby Thomas. get as much rest time as you can. I remember being a loon and doing too much despite being in pain!

Claree how rude! some people can be very short on tact.

laocat hope you & OH sort money out soon. Hope its not too stressful.

MrsHaworth hope the throat gets better.

Minimuffin hope you and LO get better soon.

LO is pooing more often hurrah! it's nice to get more evidence that he's getting enough breastmilk. I've not tried you tube however LO has just started watching normal TV though I tend to put cbeebies on for him :D

I am getting a bit fed up of this 20 hours of childcare per day thing - I would like more of a break than 2 hours each time. OH had 3 days of annual leave this week - where's my annual leave :(

Anyway I just count myself lucky that I've survived so long! Plus I do have a gorgeous baby :)

Thanks ladies for the advice . Honestly it is just a shift in our finances that out causing the problem, we always had significant savings which we put into the house and the house still needs alot of work so every spare pound we have is going into that. Plus I always paid for our car as DH doesn't drive and normally my work expenses cover it but as I am in mat leave I don't get any expenses, so DH never need to consider it as a bill. We had another chat about it plus I got a few extra hours slerp so feeling much better.

Mini hugs for poorly lo, hope u are both better soon. I do need to take a break so planning of expressi g and freezing some bm so I can have an evening off

Clare, omg the nerve of some people big hugs

Benice, hugs for 20 hours child care a day I am really starting to feel it too! Yay for more poopy nappies we hada couple of weeks of only 1 or 2 a week but he seems to be back on a more frequent schedule. I think it's a phase some bf babies go through!'
  • Minimuffin my LO is the same, we're at the doctors today (was triaged by the nurse over the phone for an appointment and she could hear him coughing and grunting in the background and made us an appointment straight away).

Don't know if people have seen but there's 25% off all clothes at tesco online until Sunday. Have ordered LO a little all in one reindeer outfit for Christmas.

I've just bought a tuppence and crumble star wrap because LO cries so much when I put his coat on - I'll let you know how he gets on with it when it comes in the post. There's no putting legs and arms in sleeves etc. I got the footmuff to go with my pushchair (babyjogger city mini gt) but worry that he's still cold in it in the evenings and during buggymovers.

Am just lurking from the pregnancy thread and wanted to say a big thank you for this :D I've been dithering about ordering any outerwear as we're team yellow and I didn't want a white or cream coat/snowsuit/pramsuit. I've ordered one of these in yellow now :D so baby will match my buggy and car now :j can you tell yellow is my favourite colour?! :rotfl:

Hopefully will be joining you all very shortly. Baby is 10 days overdue now, little monkey!!!
 Married my lobster in July 2011

Went to a bumps & bundles group today which was good fun. Encountered a really rude woman at the shop on the way though. She was asking about Eilis and then asked if I was still with her daddy - which is bad enough! - then when I said yes she went "Oh really?!" I was raging!!

Claree I've had things like that said to me before and just outright told people that that is an incredibly rude question!

I also get told now the bigger girls a bit older that I look good 'for my age' people who don't know how old I am tend to assume I'm older and just look youthful, rather than think I had DD1 very very young :o:rotfl:whereas when I first had her I used to either get judgemental comments or people thought I was a childminder :o
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
  • Well I have to say I'm very impressed with our doctors (which makes a change). The doctor phoned and asked if we wanted to go in and be seen early, went straight down there, he saw LO straight away and reassured that his breathing is fine, he's possibly got a virus or the beginnings of bronchialitis, so he will pass on to the doctor who's seeing LO for his 8 week check to see how things are going, and a follow up appointment next week to ensure he's well.
Typically, LO now seems fine and hasn't thrown up any of his last feed.
