How adorable nutella!!
I feel about a million times better now that I've got my normal Eilis back, smiles and cuddles were the order of the day today, she even held onto a toy that I gave her for the first time. Gonna continue with the calpol tomorrow and play it by ear on Monday to see whether she needs it or not. Resigned myself to night feeds again, way to lure me into a false sense of security Eilis!
Did anyone else order the sleeping bags from pumpkin patch? Is the slit/pocket in it so that you can put them in a car seat? I spent all day yesterday trying to figure it out and this is the best theory I have!My Debt Free Diary

Yes you are rightI dont have pumpkin patch ones but had a jojo mama one and it had the same. I never had the need to transport him in it so never tried it.
Glad your LO seems to be on the mend and you had some cuddlesxxx

Sorry you missed out on your date MrsH. Hopefully your LO will come around to sleeping in his own bed soon.
We've been at my parents this weekend and A slept through the whole of yesterday! Thankfully she woke up at 7, screamed a bit until midnight then settled and is still asleep now. Obviously something protective in me has woken up and is now paranoid listening to her in her bassinet! Doubt I will get back to sleep but glad she's given us another good night!
Re the blood I saw, OH thinks she has scratched herself as he noticed her scratch her ear when he was changing her yesterday which drew a bit of blood. Haven't spotted anything since so fingers crossed its that.
Hope everyone got some sleep last night!0 -
Morning ladies
We didnt have a good night, we think he had a nightmare as he was so upset and wouldnt even settle in with us. Im worried all his good sleep will go out the window now, he has been fab for about 10 weeks now and I have actually got used to sleeping till 530! Hopefully its a one off. Left OH in bed for a bday lie in so me and A are just sat colouring
Hope everyone else had a better night? On the plus side, I had a shower and used a new conditioner that smells lovelysmall things hey?!?

Morning
Sorry you had a bad night sunshine, hopefully it was a one off.
G was bad too - he's got a horrid cough and hideous runny nose. Wouldn't sleep unless he was propped up on my knee so I've only dozed for most of the night. But now he's up and running around with his Henry hoover toy. Still snotting all over the place but ok in himself. Not sure what to do today - think he should probably keep indoors out of the cold but at the same time the mood he's in he'll be bored senseless if we don't go anywhere!Newborn thread member

Sorry you had a rough one too. A has an awful snotty nose too, we are the same in that if we stay in he is hard to entertain and deal with. We are off for lunch later and maybe the wacky. Aiden has a birthday party invite there for a weeks time so I wanted to take him soon so he knows the place and hopefully doesnt spend the whole party sat on my knee!!
I also wanted to make my grandad some gingerbread men with A but may run out of time.
Blimin cold here!!xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Hi ladies, more apologise for posting and disappearing again last time - time seems to speed when I'm at home so can't catch up with anything!
Well we're entering the final week of my lil miss' first year and I've booked the week off work to prepare! She has her 12 month check up on Monday, and my oh's birthday is on Thursday so this year he's having a big fuss as his 21st last year was a wash out as I was so close to my due date, 22 is the new 21 he keeps telling me then on Saturday family & friends are descending to celebrate with Shay - I'd originally invited 10 people but at last count there are 27 expected  so lots of tidying and running round to ensure everyone is catered for!
Can I ask a question to those with more then 1 kiddy, are we mental for thinking now would be a good time for a 2nd? I'm off the pill but the few people we've mentioned anything to think we're crazy! There is 17 months between my little brother & I, we were so close growing up and i'd love similar for my kids.
Welcome to all the new mummies! X0 -
Sorry for the bad nights sunshine and Katie
I know on our Facebook group some people (me included) have put a fleece blanket between the mattress and fitted sheet to make it more cosy for LO.
DDB, I don't think there is a right time to have another one really, you cope with whatever gap you have, if it's a small one like 17/18 months for a few years you might have what is effectively 2 babies to look after for a little while, harder for older one to understand why they can't have all your attention etc, but on the other hand they will probably grow up close and you get the baby stage over and done with pretty quickly, if you leave it 3-4 years then you have nursery/school runs to deal with, while potentially dealing with a newborn and with this gap and another, could be paying 2 lots of childcare if you pay it, but child is a bit older so is more independent and not as reliant on you so you might have a bit more time for just baby.
Then obviously the bigger gaps, you're juggling 2 different stages, which I imagine would be difficult, But you also have an extra pair of hands to help
But yes pros and cons to them all. Financially we're probably only going to have 2 and it is preying on my mind now that we will have to do it soon, but we're having a ball at the moment, and I don't feel ready to share my time yetThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Morning ladies,
Hope your all having a great weekend.
My and oh made it out last night, for an hour and a half. Got to he restaurant, had two glasses of wine and then was summoned home because lo was kicking off. Got home and he was asleep. So ate our take out and then I went up to check on lo, he ended up crying so out him in our bed and fell asleep! Oops!
Just been swimming for the first time, lo absolutely loved it, as did I! I can't wait to take him again and again.
I'm looking forward to these babyccinos your all talking about!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Morning ladies, another RUBBISH night here. She went down at 8, which was lovely, then woke at 2:15, got her down again by 3, she woke at 3:15, but settled again and then up at 4. Yawn!!!
MrsH glad both that you and OH got out last night, even if only for a little bit and that swimming went wellOur swimming day is my favourite day of the week.
DDB, like Gilly said, there are pros and cons to all age gaps and you never know how long it will take to fall pregnant. We do have an amazing capacity to manage though and will always find a way even though at the time it may seem awfully difficult.
Sorry for everyone else who had a bad night; I'm off to try and convince A that she wants to have a nap so mommy can have one too! After I congratulate her for mastering forward crawling firstClever little girl has demonstrated this new skill a few times this morning.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday x0
