Awww...they are lovely (what a bargain too!) - would love to hang something like this above a fireplace....apart from the fact that we don't have a fireplace :-(

Would like perhaps bigger ones to put pressies in beside the tree.

A nearby sports centre (Batley Baths) offer 10 free swimming lessons to LOs but I worry that he's too small and he'll get too cold.

    .

Go! You will both love it! Free??!!! WOW! Mine has been going since 10 weeks - and if you add a swim vest they don't get cold so quickly. Something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SwimBest-Baby-Wetsuit-months-warmer/dp/B008YUDGW2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1384951599&sr=8-3&keywords=baby+wetsuit
I would love some free sessions!

LO is sleeping again! :-) :-) :-) (hopefully the witching hour will be lessened later!)

p.s. I hate marmite (apart from marmite crisps!)

Yeah we don't have one either :rotfl: Joe asked last night where I was going to put them and I never really thought about it…oops!
  • thanks for the link IhateDida. I'm gonna try and go - it's on the same day as baby massage and baby cafe so it'll be a very busy day for me & LO. Plus I'll have to defuzz once a week which is putting me off!

    Claree those stockings are cute!

serendisglair - how lucky are you with LO in bed by 6:30 plus being skilled enough to make stockings. I'm awful with fabric crafting.

    nessie congrats on the bargain

sunshine I hope the rash clears up soon

Gilly I'm looking forward to Christmas markets too

hope LOs settle for everyone tonight

I love coffee but don't like anything coffee-flavoured, I love oranges and orange juice but don't like orange-flavoured things like Jaffa Cakes, I love raisins straight out of a packet but don't like them in cakes... Hmmm, bit of a pattern there, I'm obviously a simple soul!

We did baby massage - really enjoyed it. Started when LO was around 6 weeks I think. I still use what I learnt and it helps with things like wind. I give her a little massage every evening after her bath (dimmed lights & nice-smelling cream included!) and she loves it :)

Lunch break over - back to work... Hope everyone is having a good day x

I live and breathe coffee (decaf though ;) ) couldn't live without my espresso machine. Enjoying one right now actually while my Dad entertains A. Bliss :)

Anyone else have a non growing child. A is currently wearing pjs he got last Xmas 9-12 months and they still fit fine as do most of his 9-12m stuff  he's 2 soon!

We've got the opposite issue - my 18 month old child is starting to grow out of some of her 2-3 years clothes! Many of her tops are 3-4 years! I hope she slows down at some point or we'll have a giant to deal with.

I'm with you on the espresso machine - I love mine :D My nespresso milk frother died this week and I'm about to pay £46 for a new one

I keep forgetting to ask, what's the big deal about Lamaze toys? might get LO some for Chrimbo

another question: what are your thoughts on dummies? LO has started thumbsucking when crying. OH said thumbsucking changed the shape of his teeth. The good thing about dummies is that you can take them away and they can be 'orthodontic approved'.

He does look like he's grown, but no proof of that :o I think he's gonna be a small fry forever, bless him! Good things come in small packages I guess! :p

I adore my espresso machine, I can't remember life before it :o on that note A is still napping so I say I have time for another coffee :o

I am going to order A's stocking tonight from weenotions :D

My kids loved Lamaze toys when they were babies, think its the really busy designs, bright colours and different textures. DS2 loved this:

I like dummies, they are useful as a 'quick fix' settler when baby is crying and like you say you can take them away.
Having said that, it becomes a real PITA if baby wakes up during the night just for you to put dummy back in. DS1 loved his dummy, as for DS2, couldn't get him to have one he would just spit it out, looks like DD is going to be the same...

Lamaze toys were a big hit here too, although can't specify exactly what it is about them that makes them so popular. We had Jaques the Peacock, the Musical Inchworm (that was amazing - wave it over his head and he was entranced!) and we still have Rusty Robot to clip on the pushchair or in the car. If you keep an eye on camelcamelcamel they often get reduced randomly on amazon.

I bought G some new wellies today, bigger as he's gone up a size anyway but I got a bit bigger than that so could fit welly socks in comfortably. He took two steps and banged his head off the pavement. Mummy fail. He perked up enough to try them out in the puddles in the park though, so can't be all that bad.
