On a separate note, I just managed to dip my phone charger into a glass of water by mistake. How long do I have to wait before I can use it and not be electrocuted?
Put it on a radiator overnight and then leave just at room temp for a day to lose any condensation - then it should be ok *hides in case of electrocution*
I like the hooded towels - the strawberry one is my fave....but did you really spend £75 on 3 towels???!!!:eek:0 -

Have to see I'm not a massive fan of primark but I bought a reindeer jumper for lo!
Does anyone use which? I want to look at the mamas and papas sola reviews and their car seats because we were told today that they have won a award. But want to be a cheap skate and not spend a pound.
Bit late probably, but some of our local libraries allow you to look at Which for free, worth looking at yours just in case. And ours rents ebooks too!0 -
Hi Katie, we just went for a pillow and duvet set from argos,.its just called a toddler one.
Nutella, sorry your LO is sufferingAiden really struggled with his molars too. No pillow or quilt is as good as mummy cuddles. At least you can blame your spending on tiredness
Phone charger - I have washed my phone before (actual full cycle in the machine) and I have dropped it in the washing up bowl - I now have insurancebut I put them in the airing cupboard in a bowl of rice, google suggested it. To be fair it did work, I managed to get my pics etc off before getting a new one.
Hey Sammie, sorry the holiday wasnt as you hoped. How is Noah doing with the portage service etc?
You are all making me want to buy things with your links!!

For once your links aren't make me want to buy things!
We bought the sola pram on Thursday, went and bought a snowsuit, 3 sleepsuits, 4 tshirts and 2 pairs of pants for lo yesterday, I also bought 7 usbourne touchy feely books off ebay as well this week so money is well and truely been spent. However.... I am going to a nearly new sale tomorrow oops. But only because I'm kidding myself that if I buy anything I can give it for his birthday in March?
So link away... You won't get me this time
Lo has been off his savoury food again last couple of days, eating yoghurts instead. Tried him with a toast soldier, but he just holds it in his hand, strange how any toy he holds goes straight to his mouth but not food lol! Going to keep trying him with it though.
Have a great weekend all, hope Los are well and happy, even with teeth coming throughNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Uhm, no, I bought the white ones, so I spent £60 plus postage. Which admittedly is a bit  but not quite as  as £75! Plus, it's an investment really - LO can now look forward to several years of hooded towel-ness
I'm pleased to report that my phone charger is alive and well this morning
LO slept from 7pm to 4.30am without a peep, so technically the best night we've had in months - except it was so out of character that instead of finally getting a proper night's sleep I kept doing that newborn thing of waking up and checking on her! Silly!
Hope everyone else had a good night x0 -
Thanks everyone, feel more human now we are home and catching up on sleep!!
Sunshine and katie - we are doing good thanks. There is not much improvement with Noah's progress but he is still such a happy boy (when he's in his routine anyway!). Portage are fab and really helpful, We are letting him choose between a choice of 2 things at the moment, eg: toys, food, drink etc and using picture exchange cards. He still hasn't got the hang of it yet but at least it is giving him a choice. We still don't have any speech/babble hence using picture cards. The drs are looking into sensory issues with his hearing as he becomes hysterical with certain noises, He becomes upset in the freezer aisle at the supermarket because he can hear the humming of the freezers so shopping can be quite a challenge but I tend to go in the evenings so DP can look after him at home.
He is the craziest, happiest and most special little boy I have ever met and I wouldn't change him for the world.xx

Your last sentence made me well uphe sounds amazing. Your support network of health professionals seem like they are great too and carrying out lots of tests. My sis took her boy on hol about 9mnths ago and he was the same as you described, she had to settle him in his pram at night.
How are your other boys doing?
Morning guys, just in the hairdressers

It is so hard when they won't settle and all they want is their own bed and familiar surroundings.
My other 2 boys are doing really well thank you. Ds1 is a typical 10 year old who drives me insane most days but at least life is never dull!
Enjoy having your hair done, I treated myself to shellac nails before out holiday and I felt like a princess after!

Aw lovely pic what a cutie.
Can I ask you ladies at what age your LO started to smile? DD (5 weeks) has smiled (genuine non wind smile) only two or three times and I just can't seem to get smiles no matter how many silly faces I pull or stupid noises I make (although I am pretty sure I've caught her smirking a few times when I pick her up out of her cot at night!).
I have pictures of DS1 laughing at 6 weeks old and I remember the health visitor being shocked that DS2 was smiling (definitely not wind) at his 5 day visit.0
