Sorry to hear the holiday didn't go well, Sammie :(

I got locked out today :o after twin1 pulled the door closed after herself when I was just about to retrieve my keys and phone  luckily OH was working locally and able to let us in :o:o I really must get another key cut!

  • Found this today and though it might help some with older toddlers and iphones/ipads

    http://igamemom.com/2013/02/20/how-to-lock-ipad-iphone-screen-so-kids-stay-within-the-app/

It tells you how to limit areas within apps and how to stop them getting back onto the home screen where they can then wreck havoc. My LO likes peek-a-boo barn but presses the home button lots.

Oh - don't forget to turn of in app purchases as well.

(Um....does this count as worse as TV???)

Hi Sammie, was wondering how you were. Sorry the holiday wasn't so great :(. How are you apart from that?

Sunshine what pillow and quilt do you have for A? I've been thinking about trying a pillow for G. Very recently got him a new sleeping bag so a bit loath to ditch that for a quilt already!

My OH came with us to soft play today as he was off - so me and the other mums sat and drank hot chocolate while he entertained all the kiddos! A couple of times G spotted him playing with the others and came dashing back and jumped on his knee as if to say "oi this is MY daddy!" So cute!

    Evening all :)

Sammie, sorry to hear your holiday didn't go too well :(

Delain, boo to being locked out!

Katie, so sweet that G claimed ownership of his dad! :)

Re. bedding - my LO's had a Clevamama pillow from around 4 months - initially the baby one, and then the toddler one. She loves our 'proper' pillows though, and will gravitate towards those whenever we co-sleep (which is every night at the moment... :o) She's had a duvet from Mothercare since 11/12 months. Her sleep is still pretty crap, but I suppose not even the most amazing bedding can help with teething pain :( I think the next molar is on its way - big lump on her gum :o

    Hope everyone's well x
  • thanks for the code Nutella

well I managed to go to Mama & Papas outlet, Asda, Next, Mama & Papas, Boots & Gap without spending. there are a few things that caught my eye but I'm waiting for the nct sale plus there's another nct sale next weekend. I bought loads in the sainsbury's 25% discount event and recently got 2 outfits from the mama & papas outlet so I feel like I've spent a lot recently. Plus little man is almost growing out of newborn size so he'll get a brand new wardrobe soon in 0-3 months size.

I must say the Next Christmas stuff is fantastic!

    Well done you! :money:

I've just bought three large hooded towels (one will live at my parents') from Hooded Owls and a swimsuit, swim ring and an inflatable ball for LO - we're starting swimming again next week, really looking forward to it! :T

Off to bed before I spend any more money! :rotfl:

I better go to bed before your blinking links make ME spend any more money! (I was only thinking the other day I needed....or wanted...!! some bigger towels as LO is outgrowing her little hooded towels.....!).:p

:rotfl: Blame Claree for starting a chain of (un)fortunate events! When Gilly posted the weenotion link in response to the personalised stockings comment, I decided to have a look and noticed that they sell big hooded towels. I got very excited about the existence of big hooded towels, but wasn't keen on their designs, so decided to ask my friend Google if anyone else could help. He recommended Hooded Owls, and as if by magic an order was placed.

So there. I'm (almost) innocent in all this

On a separate note, I just managed to dip my phone charger into a glass of water by mistake. How long do I have to wait before I can use it and not be electrocuted? :o
