  • Bangton I do the same with my little girl re her breathing. To be honest the 1st two weeks I was terrible. I woke more times in the night than she did just because I wanted to check she was breathing.

The other night I panicked big time as when I moved her into our room (carrying the moses basket) she didn't stir at all. I ended up touching her hand to make sure she'd react, lol.

Feeling a lot more positive now re being a mum, I think it's helped that my midwife came today and my little girl has gone from 6lb 8oz birth weight to 8lb 3oz at 3 weeks & 5 days old. Just feels good having confirmation in that form that I am doing my job right.

Continualdiamond - That's great news, and the confidence just keeps getting stronger. I was a clueless nervous wreck when Charlie was first born. I went home the first night because I just didn't think i could cope doing it by myself without hubby, especially after the birth and still recovering. And when he went back to work I was so nervous. Luckily from the help and support I received from here and other groups, I grew more and more confident.
Was such a wonderful feeling, developing a routine and being happy about everything. Even though there was alot more challenges to face, at least I was confident in my ability to handle them :)

Congrats on dd weight gain continualdiamond, it's a great feeling!

Ds is growing like a weed, he is only 11 lbs but 62cm, he was 7 13 when born and 55cm, so I think he is going to be a lean baby! I can guarantee that his length or leanness not come from my side of the gene pool!

Does anyone else's lo have sleepy days? I swear ds does, he was up from 7am till 9 last night with only a few cat naps of 15 mins or so but slept from 9:30 till 12 today, feed and then went back asleep till 1:30!

Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment is great, has helped us when Charlie had severe nappy rash. Was recommended to me and works wonders. Once its cleared up, use Metanium Barrier Cream, we use this everyday now x

    I couldn't agree more - it's amazing stuff :)

  • Nice to see new mummies :) Recognise a few names from TTC and pregnancy threads.

I've been reading the new baby posts and thinking, how is LO four months already. She's currently on my lap insisting on giving herself her bottle!

    Any advice re bleeding nipple?

I'm on day 5 of bf. I have moved LO to the other breast, should I pump the bleeding one to rest it from her sucking?

    What else can I do?
