  • Had a very proud mummy moment today... LO was lying down and pulled herself to sat, she then wobbled a bit and tipped slightly back but re-balanced and sat upright again. She looked so happy to have cracked it:D

Oh....I really shouldn't be browsing at Amazon as I have just spent more money on some Xmas pressies for LO! They have loads of Vtech and Leapfrog toys on offer. In particular this looked a bargain....http://www.amazon.co.uk/LeapFrog-My-Talking-LapPup-Scout/dp/B00804BCK0/ref=sr_1_16?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1383172396&sr=1-16&keywords=leapfrog

Oh....and I must thank you Nutella - our gloworm was delivered earlier today so I took it on our walk and tested it when it was just getting dark. LO's bottom lip starting quivering....so I pressed for the glo and some lullabies....and hey presto....she reached out for it and didn't cry! She was in a good mood today but even in the dark.....she didn't cry! So thank you! :T I think the Glo-worm is a winner - she is particularly fascinated by its face!

Yay! :T That's fab - glad you don't have to stay indoors until April! :rotfl:

Re. Leapfrog - if the discovery house is on offer I'd definitely recommend -bought it for LO for her first birthday and she still plays with it every day :)

    Morning :)

Hope everyone is well and had a good night.

OH is back after six weeks away - LO has literally attached herself to him and keeps saying 'Daddy! Daddy!'. It's very cute :)

Busy week here - am running a workshop today so had to swap my days around this week as I'm normally off on Thursdays. But on the plus side, it means LO isn't missing out the Halloween party at the nursery today. She's got special sparkly pumpkin hairclips for the occasion :D

Have a good day all x

ETA: sleepsuits - I loved the ones from Mothercare :)
  • Mrs H - these are the zip up sleepsuits from GAP:

    http://www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?cid=57137&vid=1&pid=000668615000

So much easier to do up than poppers!

Well DD slept for 7 hours last night! :D Fed her about 8pm, she went to sleep and didn't wake for a feed until 3.45am!!! She seems to be going longer night by night, but although this is all great, I'm wary of getting too cocky as she is still only 10 weeks old, and I recall that babies can lull you into a false sense of security with their sleep at this age!
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • Can any of you lovely ladies help me? Its the girls 1st Birthday tomorrow and I suddenly realised last night that they have got a lovely pinafore dress and leggings to wear but nothing for underneath. I'm going shopping later after DH gets up as he's on shifts and I need something with long sleeves in cream. Pretty sleeves would be better! I have lots of long sleeved vests in white but I don't have a single thing in cream. Any suggestions where I could find some?

Even a cream long sleeved top would be ok I suppose. Typically, I'm running around like a mad woman at the last minute. So much has gone on this last 2 week, I haven't had time to do anything :(

I haven't bought the food for the party (we're only having nibbles really). And I haven't made a cake, which I'm not happy about but I suppose I have every other year to go overboard on them :o When I started making cakes a few years ago, I always said I wish I had children of my own to make for. And now I have and I haven't even made one :(

We've had the insurance company here for the last 2 days going through the garage, listing everything that was damaged in the fire & taking it away. My Dad & Stepmum have been fantastic and have had the girls since Sunday afternoon, so I've been up there everyday to see the girls. Its awful but I'm on the mend and have been holding the girls a bit. Cant wait for them to come home and be able to pick them up like normal

Nutella, that's so sweet! It must be so hard for your OH working away for that long. I've just looked at the Discovery House. That's going on the girls Christmas wish list!

MV, love the baby pic, so cute!

Sparkles, Yay for LO sitting up :T

IHD, glad the glo-worm worked :) I was always jealous of my cousin who had a glo-worm when I was little. They always remind me of my childhood!

Oscar, I really feel for you. Mollie was a very screamy, pukey baby at first and wouldn't sleep at all. We only gave her infacol but I cant really say it worked. Keep going back to the docs if you need to, I wish I had. Mollie started improving around the 15/16 week mark cos I remember saying to OH, so much for disappearing at 12 weeks! Not that we knew if it was colic she had :o

We've got LO some Disney blu-rays as they are on BOGOF at the moment and they'll last as she gets older, a talking baby Minnie mouse, a Lamaze activity puzzle and will probably pick up some 6-9 month clothes. Not buying too much as she won't know the difference.

Friends and family are asking for ideas - any recommendations for a 6-12 month old so toys will last until her birthday? We thought maybe a push-along walker?

That Fisher Price Lion Walker is fab!! Wish it was going when Charlie was that age :)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Morning everyone :D

R.e Sleepsuits, we loved Next too, M&S are of a similar quality. Every other brand we had bobbled, Tesco and Mothercare for us were the worst, but I tend to wreck baby clothes so I think I'm particularly bad at washing or something? I do wash and wash and wash stuff though :o We don't use sleepsuits anymore only pj's :o

I have been up half the night feeling so sick, I think I spent half the night sat in the toilet and the other half hanging over a bucket in the bedroom, still no sick, have no idea what's wrong :( Just me and A today too, so trying not to get too close to him as I don't want to pass anything on (If I even have something that is)

Will be going to Tesco later to collect the stuff we bought with our doubled up points, no idea where we're even going to hide it but I'm sure we'l squeeze it in. Think it'l be time to buy wrapping paper soon, but I refuse to wrap before the middle of November :o

Have a good day all xx
