Good evening all,
Been to see my grandad today, lo had a bad day for teeth so used some calpol and he seemed to sleep it off. He was great with my grandad though, all smiles
I go back to work on Friday, still dreading it, safe to say I've become lazy to the outside world! Just want me and lo all the time!
New mummies.... We all feel for you. I remember sitting on the sofa staring at one spot on the floor and concentrating on it soooo hard when lo used to cry. It felt like all he did was cry some days so concentrating on that spot helped zone me out. (Sounding like a mad woman?) but now I'm on the other side I miss all the cuddles, I moaned that lo had slept on me pretty much all day, but now I miss it! So try to enjoy it, easier said than done but in a couple of months your lo will be slightly more independent and you'll miss parts of what your hating
Hope all other ladies are well, apparently 56 sleeps till Xmas, according to bounty emailNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Dida - yes it's Next
It was a present from my office when i went on Mat Leave, along with the 3 vintage sleepsuits you have!
They're gorgeous!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Ooh MV my LO has the exact same outfit: yes IHateDida it is Next.
I saw our GP who has given me a script for baby Gaviscon to start with - LO was screamy during the mid afternoon appointment which made me feel slightly vindicated - not that I thought the GP wouldn't believe me but at least it shows it's not just colic (though I dearly wish it was because at 12 weeks colic should be disappearing really really soon!). Fingers crossed it will do the trick because if not I'm not sure I'll be able to resist starting the weaning process at 4 months. We tried putting her down a few times this pm when she appeared sleepy without success (she had 3 half hour naps today: 2 when she dozed off mid feed and 1 on the way back from the GP - woke instantly when moved though!). She is definitely tired - slept 9.30 - 10.30, then 11 - 4 and 5 - 7 overnight, so in total she's getting about 9 and a half hours a day, waaayy below what you'd expect of such a small baby. I just wish I knew when she's going to turn the corner, both in terms of improving sleep and being less cranky!0 -
If it doesn't seem to be working Oscar, go back, Gaviscon is literally the bottom rung of the ladder and actually difficult to administer to breast fed babies, so I'm surprised they gave it. Fingers crossed it does work though
xx

Fine here thanks Saffa, just run off my feet a bit as we have visitors staying!
Hope everyone is well and I'm sure I'll be back soon :wave:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

You won't know....it will just happen!;) I remember I used to total up all (or the lack of) hours that LO slept and thinking that she wouldn't be developing properly (I especially used to fret when she was still up with us at 11pm with no sign of sleep happening!) and that she should be sleeping more....but it seemed to happen on its own! So don't worry!
Yehay to Next sleepsuits! :j You can't beat them - they wash up so lovely and soft! I have some Tesco ones and they are horrible; misshapen and bobbly. Sainsburys ones are better. Next are the best! (its funny how you start to become a sleepsuit expert extraordinaire!)0 -
I have some nice one's from GAP too that someone bought (got so much stuff as presents I can't remember what is from who!), They fasten up with a zip rather than poppers so are nice and easy to open and close.
Lovely soft cotton too. You can really tell the difference between brands!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
I would love sleep suits with zips on at the minute, trying to pop up a sleep suit with a rolling baby is so hard work!!!!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Oh....I really shouldn't be browsing at Amazon as I have just spent more money on some Xmas pressies for LO! They have loads of Vtech and Leapfrog toys on offer. In particular this looked a bargain....http://www.amazon.co.uk/LeapFrog-My-Talking-LapPup-Scout/dp/B00804BCK0/ref=sr_1_16?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1383172396&sr=1-16&keywords=leapfrog
Oh....and I must thank you Nutella - our gloworm was delivered earlier today so I took it on our walk and tested it when it was just getting dark. LO's bottom lip starting quivering....so I pressed for the glo and some lullabies....and hey presto....she reached out for it and didn't cry! She was in a good mood today but even in the dark.....she didn't cry! So thank you! :T I think the Glo-worm is a winner - she is particularly fascinated by its face!0 -
