  • Hi

My eldest daughter is due to have baby 30 November this year. I've got the day off on Friday 1st November and she finishes work day before. I would like to take her to a pamper spa day for mums to be and myself and her sister ( who are not pregnant lol), in Manchester city centre.

Maybe a facial, manicure, massage, nice lunch etc. Can anyone suggest anything please. Looked at groupon deals but nothing suitable.

Thank you very much for any replies. x
    :D

    HSBC: £338.50 for daughter.

A lady at my antenatal group had a pregnancy massage at the spa at the Radisson in Manchester, said it was blissful. No idea on cost. They also do afternoon tea there - currently offers through http://www.afternoontea.co.uk/uk/north-west/manchester/radisson-blu-edwardian-manchester/offers/£1250-traditional-afternoon-tea-at-radisson-blu-edwardian-manchester/

We had a better start too Sunshinehe sat at the other end of the sofa for nearly the whole length of a Downton episode, then went absolutely batty when I went to make dinner. Absolutely. To the point I thought he was going to be sick. When I went to calm him down he rested his head on my shoulder while he was still stood up and pretty much just passed out, just exhausted from screaming so much:(.

OH spoke to someone today who's daughter has been exactly the same since having antibiotics too - apparently the antib's destroy the good bacteria in the gut which would account for his slightly dodgy tum and probably not be making him feel overly great. Silly question but can you give 17 month olds those pre/probiotic yogurts they always advertise as being good for tummy bacteria?

Re Christmas we won't be spending masses as we're planning on moving early next year (how is your move going btw sunshine?) I picked up the happyland farm at a carboot for £6 so got that and I want a couple of extra bits for his vtech garage, and maybe another happyland set. Plus the grandparents etc will get him some new bits too. Hopefully will be from the carboot too as there's always good toys :T. Providing we're moved by his birthday in May I'm planning on getting the Ikea kitchen set as we'll have more space :)

I prepared for him being a terror today by getting myself a lovely box of rose wine at sainsburys. Mmmmmm slurp :D. Hope everyone else is similarly prepared for the weekend ;)

Sounds like we have similar boys atm then. Thats interesting what your OH has found out, A has def had more frequent dirty nappies in the last few days and he was on anti bios the same time as George I think for an ear and throat infection. I am sure those yoghurts will be fine for them, Im gonna get some in the morning I think. Theyre always on offer in asda or tesco.

Wish I had some rose!! Do have a nice fresh pizza though as a treat so that will have to substitute wine! Xx

    Evening all :)

We've had attachment issues here too and still have the odd day where she just wants to be held and cuddled. It really is exhausting :( Hope Aiden and George are happier boys tomorrow.

Sunshine, glad the move is going well :D

Re. xmas, my LO is getting a HappyLand tree house, a couple of bath toys from Boots, this jigsaw puzzle, magnetic letters, a magnetic dress-up set and this lacing beads set. My parents are buying her this wardrobe to replace the old cupboard in her room, and she'll be getting books from my brother, who (very conveniently for my book-loving LO!) works for a publishing company. Presents all done and it's only mid-October - am I allowed to feel a bit smug? ;)

Wish I had some wine, but I do have a Toblerone :)

    Hope everyone's well x

Evening all. Finally the weekend :j

Hope everyone is well, I have Ben and Jerrys here and half wolfed down half a tub, oops :o

Christmas wise, we've got the happyland trainset (bought on 60% off earlier this year :j ) happyland rocket, dyson replica hoover, some duplo, few disney DVDS, hundreds of books  and a few other little bits and bobs, will separate the stuff between Xmas and Birthday, as it's so close to Christmas. We went overboard last year but I just can't help myself, I keep seeing things I think he would like :o My Dad has bought him the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe and he adores them, so can't wait to see his face when he receives it :)

My phone is due for upgrade so hopefully go and get that tomorrow, if the weather holds up we may go into Glasgow with A and get lunch etc too but isn't looking likely.

Argos are doing up to 25% off all Disney stuff :) if it's any good to anyone x

Whilst we're on the subject of shopping, I've got a winter coat dilemma! I've narrowed it down to two options, but can't decide which one to get for my little lady.... This one.... or this one?....

She's already got this one, but I want to get her a second one so that we have options :o

Yes Sammie they were off on Thursday. Was a bit of a nightmare TBH as Squeak still had nursery and the twins were really excited to go there (is the same one they went to!) so they were jumping around flapping and generally being completely nuts, they were like that all the time when they were 3 but then they weren't big enough to knock things flying :rotfl:

I like all those coats, nutella! You are posh shopping at Next. We get most of our things from sainsburys :o

I've not been on here because I've been going to bed massively early. Not sure why, just been really really tired.
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
