    I've been Money Tipped!
Welcome Bangton congrats on your LO.x There's plenty of useful advice on here, you'll settle down fine. Sorry to hear bad labour, your LO makes it all worth it though :)
Hi Nutella! Sounds like you're all enjoying it, even if it was a bit hellish to get there.x
This morning T woke at 6ish so lifted him out of crib after he'd been gurgling for a few minutes ready to change, feed and generally get up for the day, but he's fallen straight asleep in my arms as I cuddled him, so we've gone back to bed, the day can start later. Aaaaah :)
  • Morning ladies

Hope we are all well. Lazywife, jealous of you going back to bed!! Up at 530 here and he has just had a major tantrum cos I wouldnt let him have a biscuit for breakfast! He is grinning away now eating his weetabixs....monkey.

Hey Nutella :) sounds like you are having a lovely time. Fingers crossed your flight home is better!!

Its still almost pitch black here!! Never this dark in the week I swear.

  • Morning ladies!

Congrats bangton, sorry the birth wasn't great, we're all here to support but if you need clarification on why certain things happened I know there are professionals you can talk with.

Me and oh are having a date night, consisting of putting lo to bed then going downstairs and watching tv/film eating and drinking wine! Is it bad that I'm so tired id rather just go to sleep! I'm such a crap oh!

I'm going back to work next month, I have two jobs, one for 2hrs every morning (6days) then going back to old job for one day a week. Am I kidding myself that I can get up at 5:30 every morning, be a good mum and a good oh? Starting to regret it now!

Nutella sorry the flight was hard, don't think about the return flight, just enjoy your time with your family :)

Anyone else have any plans for the weekend?

  • Welcome bangton, you will get loads of great advice here :) I was in such a whirl when lo was a newborn, the lack of sleep and 2hr feeding is exhausting but things will get easier and he will go longer between bottles. I remember panicking in hospital cos I didn't know how the steriliser worked.lol you find that you will replay the birth over and over in your head then it becomes a distant memory but do seek advice if you are unhappy with how things went.

oh no Mrsh im sure you are dreading leaving lo, but will find a great balance and of course you wil be a great mum and oh :) my mat leave is flying in!

lo (14weeks today) slept until 8 from 9.15 last night so DH has took him downstairs for feeding and im having a lie in :)

  • Hello everyone, another newbie here.

Had a little girl on the 6th October by emergency c section in the end, more than likely due to her having hold of the cord & causing the machine to show a low heart rate for her.

Been home since Tuesday evening and had to switch to formula feeding as ended up with her only feeding from the right side of me which caused my nipple to crack and bleed.

Been a bit shell shocked with everything and so glad hubby is off next week as well to help. Bit scared at the thought of doing it all on my own when he does go back to work.

My main issue is temperature, forever wondering if she is wearing enough as have a gro egg room thermometer which is great but then panic when is goes over 20c on if she is then too hot.

    Sooo much responsibility its frightening...

  • Congrats continual - in regards to temprature, my lo was born in March so colder than now, we dressed him more on the cooler side and then added blankets to him. If the lo feels clammy they are too hot but don't panic you'll do fine :)

  • Congratulations Continual & welcome  I did the same as MrsA tbh. My girls were born 1st Nov so was v cold and I just put them in vests and sleepsuits and added blankets if necessary. As long as their back and chest isn't too hot, they should be fine.

Amelia needed more wrapping up than Mollie, who was a very hot baby and hardly needed any extra blankets on

Welcome to Bangton too and congrats x

We have another tooth here! So now Mollie has 3 and Amelia still none. The only thing with this new addition is I thought, after the bottom 2 its usually one of the top front teeth that comes next. In Mollies case its the tooth to the right of the two top front ones that has come through if that makes sense?

MrsH, hope your date night goes well. OH and I had an impromptu date night last night. We put the girls to bed and decided to have a few drinks while watching films and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now the girls don't wake up every 5 mins once they are in bed, its nice to just be able to put them to bed and relax

Nutella, hope the journey home is better x

Hi everyone, just popping over from the pregnancy thread, have posted this there aswell but thought you guys might have more info. Baby due in less than a week and i've been wondering if any of you use organic baby products? Myself and most of my family have quite sensitive, eczema-prone skin so would like to keep chemicals etc to a minimum for bathing baby etc. any recommendations would be appreciated :)
