It appears that he is desperately trying to crawl at the moment but he hasn't quite worked it out yet. He pushes up on his arms and sort of rocks, moving one leg and then the other. Then when he's not going anywhere he gets really frustrated and cries.
We had this for a few weeks, then suddenly one day she cracked it. Do you take him to baby group or somewhere else where he could interact with slightly older babies who've mastered crawling? In our case, as soon as she started nursery and had been watching the other babies for a few days, she got it. And then I felt guilty for never bothering with baby groupI'm not suggesting that you need to push these things though - he'll figure it out when he's ready and then there'll be no stopping him!

Careful with E45 - my brother developed a horrible sensitivity to one of the ingredients in it. He uses diprobase cream now for his eczema.
As for crawling - we've had about a fortnight of rolling and pivoting around to get everywhere - now we're onto a halfway-roll and hoik yer knee up a bit alternating with the other side, and we're now experimenting with getting our knees up and bum into the air - but haven't quite mastered getting the front end up as well - so just repeated face plants into the rug. She's quite efficient rolling to wherever she wants to get to though - not 100% sure she'll actually go to proper crawling at all.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hello!
Well tried to get her to sleep in the moses basket and was not successful last night, i did not let her cry but gave her a kiss and put her back like 15 times last night and in the end i must have been very tired cos qhen i got up at 3 in the morning she was sleeping in bed next to me:rotfl: then fed her, when back to sleep for another 3 hs another feed and change of nappy and down for 2 hs, not bad. She seemed a bit unwell, well everyone in this house had a cold so i am guessing she is fighting it.
I will try the hot bottle suggestion, sadly with the cot next to me i dont have space for a co sleep bed.

We go to a few different baby groups and classes and he loves watching the older babies. He's got an eye for ladies already it seems - he was holding hands with one of the little girls this week, bless him.0

Thanks fluff, I got all excited then thinking you'd solved it but my phone doesn't have a slot for memory card like it does on the pic in the guide. This one doesn't have anything there at all. Thank you so much for your help though, you're a star :staradmin
Just going to have to go into town and see if they can do it for me.
Got 3rd lot of jabs at 2.30pm. Thinking I might give them baby paracetamol before we leave, that would be ok eh?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

It's not advised to give paracetamol prophylactically. Did your girls really suffer with the first two lots? If so, then I can understand why you'd want to dose 'em up beforehand anyway
TBH, it won't hurt them, will it. I guess the guidelines just say not to because there's no point giving an unnecessary dose of something if you don't know that the jabs will cause problems."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
cake could be worth plugging your phone into a pc via usb? Like this (2nd comment down) http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nseries-and-Symbian-Smartphones/How-can-i-get-data-off-my-N95-8gb/td-p/483327
Fingers crossed, I'd be gutted if I lost my phone pics (have just backed everything up since reading about yours)

Thanks katiechoc, I installed Nokia suite and tried to connect through usb but it kept saying my phone wasnt connected
.
Had jabs and they've been asleep since we got in. The routines out the window today. Its the last lot of jabs for a while anyway:T
I've been spoilt since we started the girls in their own room, cos DH has been off work since Saturday and has been helping me out through the night (he works 2am - 10am normally). Last night was his 1st night back and I struggled a bit when they both woke at 5am wanting feeding . Poor Mollie had to wait until her sister finished so she wasnt impressed. Her crying sounded 10 times louder in the dark. Going to sort the sofa out in their rooms with cushions to prop them on so I can feed both at once
Fluff, I did wonder whether to give it in case they didn't need it but its only this once and they did cry for a while after the other jabs so decided to. Ans they've both put a pound on since weigh-in 2 weeks ago!:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
can not imagine how lovely must be to have twins, but absolutely exhausting too.
I have made progress today, dd took the new milk, hpp organic milk quite well and managed to put her down to sleep in basket twice today- she only sleeps on me or on the swing. i even managed to have a shower while she slept. Finger crosed she will associate the basket with sleeping and with being her bed, will see tonight how it goes...Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
ohh btw hv has here yesterday and J is 8lbs 3 oz now, she booked her in for her first jabs for when she will be 10 weeks, dont know why so late, i have been reading about taking babies out into crowded areas(malls, church, restaurants) only after they have their jabs otherwise is dangerous for them to get ill. \dr also said if she has fever, the do a spinal block to take fluid from her to know the reason of it. im not explaining myself well but hope you get the idea. I have been taking her out almost every day for walks, thats fine he said.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0
