Freddie's getting very mobile. Sort of crawls but only goes backwards. Rolls a lot though and rotates on the spot which effectively allows him to travel in any direction (usually towards the hot radiator pipes :D).

When do they start cuddling you? Whenever I pick him up he squirms and squeals. I say 'LOVE ME! CUDDLE ME!' to him but he just laughs and grabs fistfuls of flesh and squeezes. Or gouges my eyes out and pulls my hair.

Is this normal for an eight month old or is he a sociopath? :(:D

No, they're evil fluff, I think they enjoy inflicting pain on there poor suffering parents.

Anyway, A was never cuddly, always fought to get away, didn't wanna be held etc but now at 13 months he chooses to climb up onto the couch, and snuggle in, it's such a nice feeling even if he does have the attention span of a gnat and wants down after 30 seconds....

I'm pleased to hear that they do eventually want some cuddles. I keep thinking 'I have my tits out permanently for you, child. I haven't slept for nearly a year. APPRECIATE ME!' :rotfl:

Think I'm quite lucky with cuddles at the moment, he's always been a bit of a mummy's boy! I do also get him crawling up to me and sinking his teeth in my leg on a very regular basis too though, which isn't quite as sweet..

They do come :) he will snuggle his head into your shoulder too. I remember when he never wanted to cuddle it made me so sad, it was like being rejected from your own child... But I guess there are more exciting things going on and he wanted to explore :o

Pop's has only just started to cuddle me recently, and she won't cuddle Daddy, only me! The best cuddles are first thing in the morning when I get her out of her cot, she puts her little arms round me and squeezes! I'm trying to teach her how to kiss now! x

Meant to ask Morocha, what size clothes is your little girl wearing? Just need to know what sizes to dig out! x

Theo has some eczema on his face and recently the backs of his thighs too. We were given Cetraben which was useless and made the dry patches more red and angry looking. We've now got the Doublebase gel and it's much, much better. I've even sneaked a bit of it for my poor dry hands!

Theo does the turning round in a circle and rolling towards where you don't want him to go too. It appears that he is desperately trying to crawl at the moment but he hasn't quite worked it out yet. He pushes up on his arms and sort of rocks, moving one leg and then the other. Then when he's not going anywhere he gets really frustrated and cries. I have cushions strategically placed so he can't roll and hurt himself on any of the furniture but yesterday he rolled over to our new tv cabinet (it has doors on to keep DH's XBox etc safe from little fingers), moved a massive cushion out of the way and was trying to open the doors! I think he's going to be a handful once he is crawling. To think I once worried about his development - he's coming on in leaps and bounds now!

In our case - as soon as we started taking her to the nursery and leaving her with strangers all day :o Then she realised that she does indeed prefer mummy and daddy! We get lots of cuddles now :D
