Well we have had a bit of an incident here :(

I was heating up soup in the plastic tub whilst Squeak was in the kitchen (luckily 3ft or so away!) and I don't know what happened but it fell over and suddenly most of the kitchen is covered in scalding hot soup :eek: luckily because she had a cardi on I could just whip that off and she didn't get burnt or anything although I ran her feet under the hot tap and put burn cream on just in case as she said one of her feet was hot :(:(:( Luckily she's fine and surprisingly wanted what was left of the soup! Where I was dealing with her though to make sure she was OK the soup was slowly cooking my arm and a good chunk of my right foot :(

So I think that'll be me back to the docs as that's about the last straw as my co ordination has gone to hell amongst other things.

Hope everyone else is having a better day :o

Oh no Delain :( Glad she's OK (and enjoyed what was left of the soup!) - that sounds scary. Hope you're OK too - big hugs x

Afternoon everyone, just enjoying a cuppa and a slice of home made lemon drizzle loaf while the monster sleeps. OH is away for a whole week for work  so it's just us 2 and I really was dreading it, but so far it's been absolutely fab, I just haven't stopped all day, until now, and don't want to sit for too long. We both were washed and dressed, hair wash for me too, fed breakfast and washing load hung out for 10.15, I was quite impressed with that, considering we lounged in bed until 8.50!

We had arrabbiata for lunch, and about to go make a start on curry for dinner  Only another 4.5 days to go :o

I went to Matalan yesterday on the advice of someone about there cute PJ's and I managed to get a pair of fleecy pull on pj's, a housecoat (with Mickey ears!) and slippers all to match, so going to put them away for Christmas. I was really impressed with all they had in, for boys and girls, and the quality was really good. I've never been before but I will definitely be going back, I seen a beautiful winter coat for A and it was only £14!

Oops Delain! Glad she doesn't seem to be hurt xxx

  • Oh no Delain! Glad everyone's ok.
    Nutella love the boots!
I'm glad we live in the sticks, so no impromptu shopping at Sainsbury's as sounds like they have nice stuff, and I would be guilty of unnecessarily buying cute stuff. Although did get a couple of bits for T in M&S sale.
    Quiet day here.

    Afternoon

Delain - hope you and little one are ok :( I put my hand straight on the top of my cooker once (electric top). burns are Nasty. :(

Gilly - I love matalan :) Noah has a Mickey Mouse dressing gown from there.....so cute!

We have been to the special needs toddler group this morning then popped to Asda for a few bits. I fell asleep on the sofa for about 10 mins with Noah asleep on top of me! Lucky I woke up as I have to pick the boys up soon! Blood tests for Noah tomorrow morning so not looking forward to that. :(

Ohh nutella super cute boots! :)

    How was the toddler group?

Squeak was fine and has now fallen asleep on the sofa, bless her! I've managed to have a proper look at her foot and it's not red or anything so no harm done. She's not coming in the kitchen again until I've stopped falling to bits anyway :rotfl:

Have got a docs apt this afternoon now so they can have a look at me. Think the sobriety tests you see on those daft police camera shows :o and if I'm really lucky they might tap me with a tuning fork or stab me with drawing pins :rotfl:

    Enjoy your quiet Lazywife :)

I like Matalan too Gilly, bit of a trek from here though to the nearest one. It's about 5 miles away but there isn't a direct route... I went once on the bus but never again! it took me pretty much the whole day :o

Good luck Gilly, I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine. My OH has been away for two weeks today, and it's actually getting easier and easier by the day. We're off to join him on Thursday, then we're together for 10 days on holiday, and then he's staying behind for another two weeks whilst LO and I head home. Plane tickets are so expensive that it makes sense to stay for a while once you do go. The upside is that there's no one else around to make a mess, so less cleaning, less laundry and less washing up :D
